The Opportunity:

CACI is currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced SAP Business Objects Developer who can design, develop, and implement business intelligence (BI) solutions using SAP BusinessObjects software, creating reports and dashboards to help organizations analyze data and make informed decisions to join our BEAGLE (Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology) Agile Solution Factory (ASF) Team supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client located in Northern Virginia! Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals supporting the best practices in Agile Software Development for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

As a member of the BEAGLE ASF Team, you will support the men and women charged with safeguarding the American people and enhancing the Nation’s safety, security, and prosperity. CBP agents and officers are on the front lines, every day, protecting our national security by combining customs, immigration, border security, and agricultural protection into one coordinated and supportive activity.

ASF programs thrive in a culture of innovation and are constantly seeking individuals who can bring creative ideas to solve complex problems, both technical and procedural at the team and portfolio levels. The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team is crucial. You should have worked with or have a strong interest in agile software development practices and delivering deployable software in short sprints



Responsibilities:

  • Requirement gathering: Collaborate with business users to understand their reporting and analytical needs.
  • Report and dashboard development: Design and build reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using tools like Web Intelligence (Webi).
  • Data modeling: Create and manage SAP BusinessObjects IDT, which act as the semantic layer between users and the database.
  • Data analysis: Write complex SQL queries and joins to extract and transform data from various sources.
  • Troubleshooting and support: Investigate and resolve reporting issues, ensuring data accuracy and security.
  • User training: Train end-users on how to use the reporting tools effectively.
  • Testing: Perform unit and integration testing to ensure the quality of the developed solutions. 


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria includes but is not limited to:
    • 3 year check for felony convictions
    • 1 year check for illegal drug use
    • 1 year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field like computer science, information systems, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in building dashboards, reports using Web Intelligence.
  • Extensive experience with various tools in the BusinessObjects suite, such as BI Launchpad, Central Management Console (CMC), Information Design Tool (IDT), and Universe Design Tool (UDT).
  • Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries and understanding database structures - (Oracle, Databricks, Postgres).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and experience with data sources like Databricks, Postgres and Oracle.
  • Strong skills to translate business needs into technical requirements and solve complex data challenges.
  • Experience with related tools like Web Intelligence and dashboards, and a strong understanding of ETL processes is beneficial.
  • Experience working on a Data Warehouse or Business Intelligence project is required.
  • Experienced working with Qlik Sense or Tableau is a plus.
  • Ideally looking for someone who has Oracle / Databricks background.
  • Local candidates must be available to work a hybrid schedule with on-site requirements in Ashburn, VA.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$103,800 - $218,100
