STATEMENT OF THE JOB:
Under the direction of the Quality/Sanitation staff, these select positions will develop/maintain and audit all plant sanitation systems, sanitation procedures, new equipment sanitary installation practices, plant conditions and housekeeping. Coordinators must work closely with the production departments and corporate engineers to provide site sanitation processes. Position will be selected by an interview process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform and track swabs (equipment, environmental, pathogen and special studies).
2. Perform scheduled audits and additional audits as needed.
3. Perform and track laydown, idle equipment, outside/grounds, pest control, period cleaning and roof inspections.
4. Assist in managing the policies and procedures in the Sanitation Manual for the plant.
5. Write new policies or procedures with approval from Sanitation Supervisor.
6. Manages and approves Sanitation and Pest Control QCMS documentation (i.e. work instructions, procedures, policies).
7. Maintain web-based Champaign Sanitation Controls Manual.
8. Perform Gap Analysis annually on all Sanitation Policies.
9. Administer sanitation PM’s from SAP to departments and track completion.
10. Works with Outside vendors and contractors (includes janitorial service, duct cleaners and chemical vendor).
11. Develop and conduct training programs for all aspects of Sanitation.
13. Make presentations to GAM and other plant functions.
15. Required to work closely with Plant/Corporate management on sanitation related issues.
16. Verify sanitation related corrective and preventative actions.
17. Track all corrective actions responses and ensure they are progressive to get to root cause of issue.
18. Provide direction to hourly associates during sanitation to ensure compliance to sanitation policy and procedure.
19. Manages and enhances sanitation databases.
20. Perform Pest Control function as required. Prepares for and communicates activity to plant.
21. Participate in cross-functional teams as necessary. Lead Sanitation BU Review meetings.
22. First source of contact for sanitation in department, on conference calls and other communications.
24. Maintain sanitation scorecard to include tracking of period cleaning results.
25. Perform sanitary design studies/reviews.
26. Review projects to determine sanitation methods to be used and the costs and means associated with the projects.
27. Acts as a backup to the Site Sanitation Supervisor.
28. Work in a safe manner and be aware of potential safety hazards.
29. Create and maintain accurate records.
30. Comply with all Kraft GMP policies.
31. Track Sanitation finances and identify and implement cost savings opportunities.
32. Support CI green belt/black belt activities. Perform Kaizen studies in departments on sanitation activities.
33. Perform as back-up to Recycling Center Coordinator.
34. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
35. Know, understand, and comply with Kraft Food’s Environmental Policy.
36. Reduce Kraft’s Environmental footprint. Participate in the QRMP audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions Oversee and lead the implementation of the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) system and operational standards as outlined in the plant accountability list.
Safety Responsibility
Responsible for wearing proper PPE, compliance of safety training, policy & procedures and report any unsafe safety conditions to a Supervisor/Management.

Cushman cart, Sweeper/Scrubber, Fork Truck
RESPONSIBILITY OF EQUIPMENT OPERATED:
Employee is responsible to ensure the equipment is in a safe, operable condition and must operate the equipment in a safe manner.
VALUE OF MATERIAL:
Manages annual inventory/supplies in excess of $250,000. Sanitation-related decisions may impact product in excess of $100,000.
LIFTING REQUIREMENTS:
Equipment inspections, pest control activities and sanitation troubleshooting may require lifting up to 50lbs
WORKING CONDITIONS:
May be required to stand or walk for a majority of the shift. Must be able to work in a variety of physical environments that include, but are not limited to: varying degrees of temperatures, humidity and noise. Must be able to work with and around varying types of chemicals including pesticides. May be required to stand or walk for a majority of the shift. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Employee is considered proficient after 6 months on the job.
Experience in developing and giving formal presentations.
Adaptable - must handle multiple situations at one time and be able to prioritize.
Customer service skills – must be able to interact well with multiple areas inside and outside of the facility (i.e. Corporate Sanitation, Corporate engineering, Site Production/Quality/Engineering).
Good interpersonal communication skills and proven ability to resolve conflict and work in teams.
Communicates effectively with all positions orally and written.
Exhibits initiative.
Demonstrates good follow-up.
Has had experience within the last two to five years in the sanitation-manufacturing environment.
Employee must be able to perform duties without direct supervision.
Employee must be detail oriented.
Computer experience.
Already possesses or has the ability to obtain within 6-12 months Illinois Pest Control License.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access and MS Outlook.
Ability to create and manage Access databases, or to take a course to learn software. College courses in science and math.
Experience as an equipment cleaner. Experience with SAP Maintenance and SAP Production.
