The Information Technology organization is the technological foundation of our business and works in collaboration with our partners from across the company. The team drives technology and digital transformation, partners with business leaders to design and execute new strategies through IT and operations services and ensures the necessary IT risk management and security measures are in place and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and principles. 

About The Role

We are seeking a Salesforce Technical Product Owner / Application Owner to bridge business demand with platform capabilities, ensuring disciplined, secure, and value-driven Salesforce delivery. This role serves as the linchpin across agile squads, architecture, compliance, and support, guiding backlog strategy with a technical lens while ensuring operational readiness and governance alignment.  This individual will lead feature-level delivery with a focus on stability, scalability and security risk mitigation – owning both strategic planning and day-to-day platform integrity.

Responsibilities

Backlog management with a technical lens: 

  • Leverage insight from tech trends, vendor roadmaps, and industry best practice to ensure backlog items are future-proof  
  • Partner with architects and engineers to evaluate technical feasibility and business impact, avoiding tech debt and over-customization 
  • Ensure backlog items align with strategic priories and compliance requirements.  
  • Centralize demand, govern vendor releases, and create holistic Salesforce roadmap to maximize platform ROI and reduce fragmentation. 

Development lifecycle governance: 

  • Collaborate with agile teams during delivery planning, backlog grooming, and reviews to ensure clarity and feasibility of delivery 
  • Enforce non-functional requirements (eg security, scalability, regulatory) are embedded in user stories 
  • Identify cross-team and platform cross-app dependencies early and facilitate resolution of design and delivery blockers 
  • Support architectural reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture permits and design standards 

Support readiness and platform stability: 

  • Serve as the go-to liaison between application teams and support, DevSecOps functions 
  • Partner with support to address recurring issues and ensure production feedback informs backlog planning 
  • Own incidents, change log, and compliance alignment for audits and internal reviews related to Salesforce applications 

Controls, compliance and reporting 

  • Ensure platform changes and release cycles meet internal audit, risk, and regulatory controls 
  • Collaborate with security, data privacy and legal teams to ensure compliance 
  • Track and report performance metrics including cycle time, defect rates, platform stability, and benefit realization 
  • Define, implement, and report on success criteria for platform enhancements and strategic investments 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in Salesforce product or application ownership in a mid-to-large enterprise 
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, lifecycle, and release management 
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams 
  • Familiarity with compliance-heavy environments (eg financial services, insurance, healthcare) 
  • Solid knowledge of platform and application governance practices, controls, and regulatory readiness 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, Experience Cloud, Mobile App, or integrated CRM platforms 
  • Certifications: Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Platform Builder, Certified Product Owner (PSPO) 
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow and audit tooling 
  • Background in coordinating enterprise audits, change reviews, or ITGC control validation 

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000 to $105,000 at the commencement of employment for the Jersey City, NJ and Woodland Hills, CA area.  Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.

In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

Work Location

This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Woodland Hills, CA, Jersey City, NJ, or Houston, TX office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
