The Salesforce architect oversees the way we use Salesforce for the company from an implementation, maintainability and sustainability standpoint. They set expectations for how the various technologies function and interact in a way that will be most useful to Sun Life.
Responsibilities
- Understand company needs in relation to technology trends
- Plan and design the technology roadmap and standards
- Communicate standards to systems analysts and solutions architects
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and design integration methods as needed
- Ownership of Salesforce’s technology landscape
- Assist with solving technical problems when they arise
- Ensure implementation of agreed architecture and infrastructure designs
- Address technical concerns, provide ideas and suggestions
- Ensure technologies meet both user needs and business goals
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as an Architect, Tech Lead, and/or Systems Analyst
- Experience analyzing systems and/or technologies
- Understanding of strategic IT solutions
- Experience in stakeholder management
- General knowledge of coding and programming
- Proficiency in Salesforce technologies
- Experience in cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure)
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Organizational and leadership skills
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
