Shift pattern: Full‑time 37.5hrs

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Product Owner to take full ownership of the platform across UK Insurance (UKI) and UK Health Services. This is a key strategic role responsible for shaping the in‑life vision, driving platform development, and ensuring Marketing Cloud delivers real commercial value, excellent customer outcomes, and strong operational performance.

Role Purpose

You will act as the business Product Owner for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud system, defining and delivering the strategic roadmap and ensuring the platform continues to meet the evolving needs of the business. Working with stakeholders across marketing, sales, technology, and governance teams, you will champion continuous improvement, automation, efficiency, and the adoption of best‑in‑class Marketing Cloud capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Ownership

  • Own the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform for UKI and Health Services.
  • Define, drive, and deliver the in‑life strategic vision aligned to growth and profitability goals.
  • Set the strategic direction for platform development and enhancement.

Platform Development & Governance

  • Lead in‑life development, implementation, maintenance, and administration of Marketing Cloud.
  • Establish governance, processes, and performance disciplines to improve user adoption and operational efficiency.
  • Translate business goals into prioritised requirements and lead delivery of strategic and tactical enhancements.

Commercial & Product Activities

  • Support marketing strategies and campaign execution using Marketing Cloud capabilities.
  • Lead automation and optimisation efforts to free up resources and reinvest in capability growth.
  • Produce business cases for platform enhancements and evolution.
  • Drive platform analytics and turn insights into actionable business recommendations.

Operational Delivery

  • Manage users, data, permissions, and platform security.
  • Build and deliver training materials and workshops with Learning & Development.
  • Present and demonstrate new features to users, leadership, and executive teams.
  • Apply strong project management practices across planning, leadership, scheduling, and quality management.
  • Maintain alignment with Bupa’s strategic context, regulatory expectations, and risk appetite.

Market Awareness

  • Monitor customer trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to ensure the platform remains innovative and relevant.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

  • Must have hands‑on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience working directly in a marketing function.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to create and interpret accurate, actionable data.
  • Proven stakeholder influence across all levels.
  • Experience working in large, complex, matrix organisations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational and planning capability.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure, independently or while leading teams.
  • Experience creating compelling business cases with focus on value and benefit realisation.

Desirable:

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications.
  • Experience with Sales Cloud and/or Salesforce Data Cloud.
  • Exposure to Agile project delivery and IT change management.
  • Understanding of the UK Healthcare & Private Medical Insurance sector.
