Galileo Global Education HUB (Hungarian Bureau) is a daughter company of the GGE Group and offers a diverse package of dedicated IT services to support our „internal” clients: Schools, Business units and Support functions, in both their Digital Transformation and daily IT operations by spearheading, supporting and managing their efforts through IT project managers, technical professionals and software developer experts.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Salesforce Practice Lead to join our team — a hands-on, technical team lead who will both set the technical bar and cultivate a high-performing developer community within our organisation. You will own design and coding standards, guide architecture decisions, and directly contribute to solution design and implementation. In parallel, you will lead a team of Salesforce developers, orchestrate knowledge sharing, and ensure consistent delivery quality across projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Technical leadership & architecture

  • Lead end-to-end technical solutioning across Salesforce clouds (e.g., Sales, Service, Experience), including data model, security model, integration patterns, and environment strategy.
  • Write high quality Apex/LWC code and perform complex design reviews, performance optimization, and secure coding assessments.
  • Define and evolve platform architecture standards (org strategy, packaging, CI/CD, branching, environments/sandboxes, release governance).
  • Engineering excellence & standards

  • Establish and maintain coding standards, code review practices, test automation and coverage targets, and secure development guidelines.
  • Own the SDLC: definition of “ready/done”, pull request and branching policies, and CI/CD pipelines (SFDX, Git, Copado/Gearset/DevOps Center).
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and platform security best practices (profile/permission sets, sharing rules, fieldlevel security, audit).
  • Team leadership

  • Lead a team of salesforce developers technically: ensure cross team alignment, manage technical risks and dependencies, unblock delivery, and coach engineers in their activities.
  • Facilitate regular knowledgesharing sessions; enforce documentation and reusability (patterns, reference implementations, playbooks).
  • Provide input to annual goal setting and assessments, support career development plans, and foster team cohesion

Profile:

  • Hands-on technical leader with significant time spent designing and building on Salesforce; comfortable switching between architecture and coding
  • Able to lead developer team in an Agile product organization; able to coach, mentor, and grow talent
  • Experienced operating in multiorg, multicountry environments and contributing to a Core Model strategy
  • Fluent in English and Hungarian, French would be a plus
  • Familiarity with higher education systems and processes is a plus.

Know-how & Technical Skills:

  • Salesforce Platform: Apex (classes, triggers), Lightning Web Components, Visualforce (legacy), Flows, SOQL/SOSL, Platform Events.
  • Architecture: data & security model design, integration patterns (REST/SOAP, middleware), event‑driven and asynchronous processing, caching, error handling.
  • Experience Cloud: site architecture, authorization, component design (desirable).
  • DevOps: SFDX, Git, CI/CD, environment & release management
  • Quality & Security: unit/integration testing, static analysis, secure coding, data privacy, auditability.
  • Certifications are preferred
