About the team
What you’ll do
We are looking for a foundational builder to lead the charge in standing up our net-new Certinia implementation. This isn't a "maintenance" role, you will be the primary architect and engineer responsible for designing, building, and launching our Professional Services automation engine from the ground up. As a key member of the ProServ Strategy & Operations team, you will bridge the gap between business vision and technical execution. You’ll be a thought leader who isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to write Apex, design complex flows, and integrate APIs, all while ensuring our global ProServ team has a world-class platform to scale. Once established, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and optimization of our Certinia environment as well as iterating and improvements as Stripe’s needs change. This is a unique opportunity to replace our core platform, driving significant efficiencies and playing a key role in our success over the coming years as we scale.
Responsibilities
- Greenfield Implementation: Take ownership and responsibility in the end-to-end stand-up of Certinia on Salesforce. Key contribution to everything from initial discovery and architectural design to full-scale global deployment.
- Technical Ownership: Act as the primary architect and hands-on builder for Certinia, developing high-performing objects, complex flows, and integrations that scale with Stripe’s growth.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with ProServ leadership to translate abstract business needs into technical reality, serving as a thought leader for how our project management ecosystem should function.
- Data & Integration: Lead critical data migration efforts and partner with Engineering to unlock the value of Stripe’s data, ensuring seamless connectivity between Certinia and our core internal systems.
- System Health & Scaling: Design holistically for flexibility and maintainability; you aren't just building for today, but for a global organization of Stripes.
- Operational Excellence: Balance high-level architecture with daily execution. Managing data hygiene, designing intuitive dashboards, and providing the boots on the ground support and training to drive team adoption.
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. We value individuals who are passionate about simplifying complexity to address real-world business challenges.
Minimum requirements
- 5+ years of Salesforce development/advanced administration with a proven track record of architecting and building complex systems from the ground up.
- Direct, hands-on experience implementing or managing Certinia (FinancialForce) PSA or ERP
- Proficient in Apex, SOQL/SOSL, and modern Salesforce development (LWC, SFDX). You understand the architectural trade-offs between clicks and code.
- Expert-level knowledge of data migration, system integrations (APIs), and tools within the Salesforce ecosystem.
- Familiarity with Ruby, JavaScript (React/TypeScript), or SQL. You are a generalist who can jump from frontend UI tweaks to backend API logic.
- In-depth understanding of Salesforce CRM architecture constraints and the ability to build holistically from documentation and specs to deployment and impact measurement.
- You thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments (like Stripe) and have the attitude to move from high-level design to troubleshooting a flow in the same hour.
- Salesforce Advanced Administrator or Platform Developer I/II
- AI & Automation Fluency
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Professional Services
- Experience in the Payments industry
- Understanding of the Lead-to-Revenue lifecycle, specifically how PSA data feeds into revenue recognition (ASC 606) and financial reporting
- Experience building estimation models and global resource pools that handle multi-currency and multi-region staffing.
