The Sales Strategy & Growth Associate provides analytical and project support to the Wealth Management Global Sales Organization, assisting with market development, sales strategy, and business planning initiatives. The role focuses on research, analysis, and execution in support of client acquisition and growth priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Wealth Management sales leadership and partners with market, sales, and growth-related initiatives
  • Assist in the development of sales and marketing plans for target client segments and priority geographies
  • Conduct research and analysis to support new business opportunities, including prospective clients, referral partners, and centers of influence
  • Help prepare calling strategies, prospect lists, and supporting materials for advisors, relationship managers, and sales teams
  • Analyze sales performance, pipeline activity, and market trends to support growth reporting and decision-making
  • Assist with basic financial analysis and modeling related to business performance, growth initiatives, and strategic investments
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and materials for internal stakeholders, including sales leadership and cross-functional partners
  • Support cross-functional projects involving sales, marketing, product, and operations
  • Perform preliminary analysis and data gathering to support larger strategy and planning efforts
  • Maintain working knowledge of Northern Trust Wealth Management client segments and sales processes

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Basic to intermediate financial analysis and modeling skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with sales or CRM tools preferred
  • Strong organizational, process, and project coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in financial services, sales support, analytics, strategy, or a related role preferred
  • Interest in wealth management, sales strategy, and client growth initiatives

Salary Range:

$74,200 - 126,200 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
