As Vice President, Sales Excellence, you are the driving force behind sales effectiveness, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the Partner Revenue organization. You champion the optimization of sales processes, coordinate high-impact training and coaching programs, and implement data-driven strategies to elevate sales engagement, performance, and customer experiences.
Directly and through partnership with staff, you manage and coordinate the operational activities for assigned functional area(s)/region(s). You ensure quality service and effective operations support for all assigned internal and external customers. You lead high-performance teams of both entry-level and skilled professionals by setting goals, providing ongoing feedback, measuring progress, recognizing success, and building accountability. You oversee adherence to corporate policies and procedures and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations within your area of responsibility. You participate in reviewing and improving operational systems and procedures relevant to your assigned units.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
Typically eight or more years of relevant experience
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Collaboration:
Identify expansion and optimization of lead generation through evaluating current sources for effectiveness and proactively identifying new lead opportunities to fuel sustained sales growth.
Work closely with Sales leadership to develop and execute sales strategies, including path to plans, pipeline management, and forecasting.
Partner with marketing to collaborate effective sales materials, pitches, and resources that maximize lead generation and support sales objectives.
Performance Management & Coaching:
Help design and oversee comprehensive performance management frameworks, including the development and delivery of sales coaching and training strategies to upskill the sales force and drive excellence.
Develop and manage meaningful sales recognition and incentive campaigns to motivate and reward high performance, leveraging data analysis to ensure alignment with business goals.
Act as a liaison between Sales and Training teams to shape training content and strategy, focusing on needs analysis and design guidance.
Sales Reporting & Analytics:
Serve as the Salesforce channel champion, designing tools and processes to ensure accuracy across all channels, and providing structure for real-time visibility into sales performance and pipeline health. Enable the sales team with the right tools and training to leverage Salesforce for data-driven decision-making.
Sales Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
Lead initiatives to enhance the sales process, ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness at every stage.
Monitor sales practices and metrics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with sales leadership to track progress against established targets and drive ongoing enhancements.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Expert knowledge of both Merchant Services and Elavon/MPS
Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
Background in Sales or Sales management
Strong proficiency in Salesforce and understanding of reporting and dashboard creation
Strong data and analytics skills to inform strategic decisions
Experience in performance tracking and providing actionable, data-driven feedback
Strong relationship-building skills across multiple departments

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $126,820.00 - $149,200.00
