Your mission
Aggreko is powering shipbuilding and shipping. Hence we’d like to welcome a field based Sales Representative / Commercial Engineer / Sales Specialist dedicated to this customer segment in the Netherlands.
In the fast‑evolving world of shipbuilding and maritime operations, reliability, flexibility and sustainability are no longer optional. They are essential. Aggreko stands as a trusted partner to the shipping sector, delivering the critical power, heating, cooling, and energy‑transition solutions that keep yards productive, fleets compliant, and maritime projects moving forward.
From early-stage construction to final commissioning, Aggreko ensures shipyards operate without delays. Our temporary power and load testing solutions support everything from welding and fabrication to shore-power substitutes and full electrical system verification. With fast deployment, modular setups, and round‑the‑clock support, we help yards maintain efficiency, meet deadlines, and control costs.
Responsibilities
- Connect complex customer challenges to technical solutions highlighting reliability value for essential services.
- Cultivate relationships from operational teams to executive leadership across utility organizations
- Create effective strategies with medium to long-term growth perspective aligned with infrastructure cycles.
- Manage opportunities through extended sales cycles with multiple regulatory and compliance decision points.
- Apply utility infrastructure knowledge to position solutions for sector-specific challenges and grid requirements.
- Develop compelling commercial approaches while navigating complex procurement environments and public sector regulations.
Performance indicators
- Account acquisition and development across shipping and ship building projects.
- Drive revenue growth through consultative selling of complex technical solutions.
- Manage proposals and contracts while maintaining accurate long-range pipeline forecasts in industry where reliability and compliance are paramount.
- Our sales behaviours: driven, resilient, curious and disciplined.
Location
Randstad based with regular meetings at the offices of Aggreko Benelux (Moerdijk).
What we're looking for
- Driven by customer success and having a proven track record in project based, B2B technical solution selling.
- Experienced working within power generation and ideally also temperature control.
- Direct experience working in or with shipping and/or shipbuilding companies: knowledge of the industry challenges and regulatory framework.
- Managing sales cycles with multiple decision-makers and influencers across functions and levels.
- Proficient in managing commercial and contractual data in management systems.
- Fluent in Dutch and in English; holding a valid driver’s license and open to travel across the area.
