What You'll Bring:

  • 10+ years’ experience in financial services (Insurance & Auto expertise required), strategic and analytical consulting, and deep understanding of P&L, and end to end operations.
  • Advanced financial & analytical capabilities, critical thinking, and exceptional communication skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver data-driven insights and distill complex data into clear actionable insights for C-suite and senior stakeholders.
  • Skilled in influencing decision-making through structured, persuasive communication.
  • Results-oriented, strategic, collaborative, and adaptable. Naturally curious and skilled at building strong & lasting professional relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or related field required. MBA is an asset.

Impact You'll Make:

Reporting to the Head of Market Development, TransUnion Canada, the Sales Specialist – Insurance & Auto Industry is responsible for strengthening TransUnion’s market presence and reputation as a trusted advisor and achieving strategic revenue goals within the insurance and auto verticals. This position will help deepen industry relevance for TransUnion by working in collaboration with clients to accelerate scalable growth and innovation, while delivering client-centric insights through market expertise and data-driven analysis.

Scale Industry & Client-Centric Insights:

  • Act as a subject matter expert on Insurance & Auto industries for TransUnion Canada.
  • Strengthen TransUnion’s role as a trusted advisor by delivering data-backed perspectives on emerging trends and a defined thought leadership roadmap.
  • Deliver forward-looking, data-driven insights and market intelligence on the Canadian Insurance & Auto ecosystems and adjacent sectors to support strategic growth for existing clients and new market entrants.
  • Identify and support strategic industry partnerships to elevate our position as trusted advisors.
  • Develop & enhance market-leading performance benchmarking & insights.
  • Conduct ad hoc market & portfolio analyses to support strategic opportunities.
  • Lead strategic market and client-specific consulting engagements, including portfolio analysis and actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and lead client-centric TransUnion advisory boards, roundtables, and forums.
  • Deepen industry relevance and engagement within the ecosystem, including investors, regulators, and associations, and participate in key industry events.
  • Collaborate with global TransUnion teams (Analytics, Research & Consulting, Product, Marketing, Market Development) to share best practices and deliver forward thinking insights and capabilities.

Accelerate Strategic Revenue Opportunities:

  • Monitor market trends, emerging threats, and opportunities to inform strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop business cases and strategic recommendations for market sizing & whitespace opportunities.
  • Support business development and growth opportunities across strategic accounts.
  • Partner with Sales Enablement to deliver vertical-specific content and training for seller upskilling.
  • Identify and drive new revenue streams through data-driven insights and thought leadership.
  • Translate voice-of-market and client feedback into actionable recommendations for product and capability roadmaps specific to the Insurance & Auto verticals,
  • Contribute to business planning initiatives and stress-testing strategies.

The expected pay range for this position is $131,000 - $201,000 annually. The pay information provided for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of expected compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of many factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. In addition, variable compensation is based on applicable company guidance and plan documents as well as performance.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
