The Risk & Valuation Services (RVS) Revenue organization is a dynamic and collaborative team within S&P Global's Market Intelligence (MI) Division. We are passionate about driving growth through innovative solutions in Credit, Global Insights, Data, Valuations, and Risk Analytics. The RVS business is a significant contributor to the overall growth of the MI Division, and our team thrives on solving complex client challenges as the market and regulatory landscape continues to evolve. The Impact:
As a Sales Specialist, you will play a critical role in achieving revenue targets by expanding existing products and introducing new solutions across Credit, Global Insights, Data, Valuations, and Risk Analytics. You will act as a strategic ambassador for RVS, representing our solutions both internally and externally while serving as the voice of the customer. Your work will directly influence product and commercial strategy, with regular exposure to senior leadership. You will drive meaningful impact by building and executing territory strategies, identifying growth opportunities, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that address client challenges in Credit Risk, Market Risk, and Third Party Risk. The varied product suite serves clients across Financial Institutions, Corporates, and Governments, positioning you at the forefront of solving emerging challenges in a rapidly changing market.

Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive territory strategies that identify growth opportunities and expand the book of business across diverse client segments including Non-Financial Corporates, Professional Services, Academics, and Alliances.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (Account Managers, Product Specialists, Customer Success, Marketing) and collaborate across divisions to drive cross-divisional campaigns and synergy referrals.
Engage with local regulatory bodies to understand the regulatory landscape and ensure RVS solutions meet regional requirements, demonstrating strategic foresight and market awareness.
Represent RVS as an ambassador internally and externally, articulating complex solutions clearly and serving as the voice of the customer to influence product and commercial strategy.
Adopt a customer-focused, diagnostic selling approach that addresses client needs creatively, demonstrating how the RVS suite can underpin critical business workflows.
Track sales activity, pipeline accuracy, and forecasting using a structured approach, ensuring data-driven decision-making and strategic alignment with business objectives.
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 5 + years of experience in hitting revenue targets through expanding existing products and selling new products across Credit, Global Insights and, Data, Valuations and Risk Analytics.
A strong commercial mindset with demonstrated experience selling to, engaging with, or supporting Risk personas within financial institutions, non-financial institutions, or financial data/technology firms.
Deep understanding of fixed income and credit markets, with the ability to translate market knowledge into client solutions and strategic opportunities.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences, including senior executives and decision-makers.
Strong emotional intelligence and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to build trust, foster inclusivity, and partner effectively across functions to resolve competing priorities.
Demonstrated adaptability and creativity in navigating ambiguous situations, responding to change, and innovating with data-driven solutions.
Excellent organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and delegate effectively.
We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Experience providing input into product or commercial strategy, with exposure to senior leadership in planning or decision-making contexts.
Proven track record of building and executing territory strategies that drive measurable revenue growth and market expansion.
Experience engaging with regulatory bodies or demonstrating knowledge of regulatory requirements in credit or risk management domains.
Strong leadership capabilities, including coaching others, empowering teams, and driving long-term strategic initiatives aligned with organizational purpose and values.
