The Role

As the Array Sales Specialist here at Illumina in France, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating the growth of Illumina’s Infinium array and 5-Base sequencing portfolio across human and non‑human markets. As the regional commercial subject matter expert for all array workflows and associated software solutions, you will partner closely with account managers, product management, marketing, medical & government affairs, and market access to drive long‑term revenue growth and profitable margins.

The Illumina Infinium array products are broadly defined as all human (genotyping, cytogenetics and methylation), non-human and custom array products. A good understanding of the Illumina DNA sequencing business, including 5-Base, will be required to guide the customers to the best solution.

You will lead strategic customer engagements, support large and complex commercial opportunities, and serve as a trusted advisor to key opinion leaders across the region. You will also be instrumental in training and enabling our subregional commercial teams, ensuring they are equipped to identify opportunities, support customers and position Illumina’s best‑in‑class offerings. This is a high‑impact, customer‑facing role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative, innovation‑driven environment.

Illumina's employee benefits are industry‑leading and include flexible time off, private medical insurance, compassion and care time off, leisure travel insurance, pension, employee stock purchasing program, volunteer time off, and much more!

Why You

You combine deep scientific expertise with strong commercial acumen, ideally backed by a PhD (or equivalent experience) in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Chemistry or Biochemistry. You bring meaningful hands‑on experience with DNA microarrays, genotyping or broader genomic technologies, and you feel confident translating complex scientific concepts into compelling commercial solutions for customers.

You are a skilled communicator who thrives in customer‑facing environments, and you bring at least three years of experience in sales or customer engagement. You enjoy working independently while also excelling within multi‑functional teams. Strategic thinking, strong relationship‑building skills, and the ability to navigate complex enterprise transactions come naturally to you. You are comfortable presenting to diverse audiences, capable of influencing key stakeholders, and motivated by solving customer challenges using innovative approaches.

You are organised, proactive and analytical, with fluency in tools such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook and, ideally, SFDC or JDE.

You enjoy travel, value cross‑functional collaboration, and are energised by the opportunity to help customers achieve more with Illumina’s technologies.
