Sales & Reservations Executive, Nanyang Executive Centre (Hospitality)

The NTU Office of Commercial and Auxiliary Services (OCAS) is responsible for the strategic planning, management, and marketing of commercial real estate, hospitality (including Nanyang Executive Centre) and auxiliary services (car parks and shuttle bus services) in NTU main campus and NTU@one-north.

The Nanyang Executive Centre (NEC) is located at the NTU Main Campus. Currently undergoing refurbishment, the NEC features 150 guestrooms. Upon completion, NEC will serve as a premier venue for corporate training, business retreats, and private events.

We are seeking a proactive Sales & Reservations Executive to drive business growth for NEC. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling NEC accommodation, event and function spaces while delivering exceptional customer service. You will identify target audiences, cultivate client relationships, and maximise revenue through strategic sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales

  • Promote NEC's accommodation and event spaces to NTU audience, suitable clients, and individual guests. Implement upselling and cross-selling strategies to maximise revenue per booking.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation, networking, and market research.

  • Build good rapport with existing and prospective clients to develop business leads and secure repeat business.

  • Monitor market trends, industry development and activities to maintain competitive positioning.

  • Achieve individual KPI and revenue targets as set out in the yearly business plan.

Reservations Management

  • Manage all reservation inquiries and bookings through multiple channels (phone, email, online platforms).

  • Process reservations accurately and efficiently in the property management system.

Client Relations & Administration

  • Maintain comprehensive records of all client interactions, proposals, and follow-ups.

  • Provide regular sales progress reports and booking updates to management.

  • Propose ways to improve sales and reservations processes, standards and policy.

  • Conduct site inspections and familiarization tours for prospective clients.

  • Negotiate rates, terms, and contracts with clients to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.

  • Ensure all billing information, special requests, and guest preferences are captured at the point of booking.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room inventory, rates, packages, promotions, and special offers.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Hotel Management or relevant discipline.

  • Minimum of 1 year working experience in hospitality industry.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to build rapport, foster and maintain long-term relationships with clients.

  • Skilled in negotiating prices and terms to reach a mutually beneficial agreement with potential clients.

  • Professional in demeanour and service-oriented with a commitment to exceeding client expectations.
