Job Description
Overview:
We are looking for a Sales Representative who will serve as a trusted Resident Expert in one of our Southern California communities, either Bloom (Ontario, CA) or Altair (Temecula, CA). In this role, you will represent Brookfield Residential by welcoming prospective homebuyers, communicating our thoughtfully designed homes, and supporting the daily operations of our sales centers.
You will contribute directly to achieving sales, closing, customer experience, and revenue goals. This includes building strong, trust‑based relationships with customers and demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a deep understanding of our communities and product offerings.
This position requires the ability to regularly commute and be based out of the areas where we operate, ensuring consistent coverage, collaboration, and an elevated customer experience across locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve or surpass sales, closing, referral, customer experience, and revenue targets in line with the company business plan.
Work closely with the Community Sales Manager to ensure smooth operations at the sales gallery, model homes, and homesites.
Coordinate effectively with team members and key relationships within the community.
Represent Brookfield Residential in various industry, civic, and other public relation activities including virtual webinars.
Master systems and processes to seek opportunities for efficiency.
Lead backlog/escrows efficiently while providing an outstanding customer experience.
Solve problems, set expectations, and assist customers in overcoming objections daily.
Update job knowledge through educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations within the local residential homebuilding industry.
Work with the Marketing Department to identify local marketing opportunities, settle consumer requirements, market needs, and competitor strengths and weaknesses.
Participate in community events, including pre-opening virtual and in-person events.
Clearly explain the home buying process, respond quickly to customer questions, and provide accurate answers.
Act as the customer ambassador through the close of escrow to ensure the home buying journey is pleasant.
Provide construction and other updates to customers throughout escrow.
Prepare and process reports, contracts, and other items needed in daily sales operations.
Help the Community Sales Manager prepare new communities for debut by gathering data, drafting documents, and setting up files for the sales gallery.
Generate new traffic and sales opportunities through prospecting.
Qualify prospects, ask discovery questions, listen intently, and provide detailed presentations.
Follow up with prospects/homebuyers weekly.
What You'll Bring:
Valid Califronia License with the California Department of Real Estate.
Post-secondary diploma, degree or equivalent experience in business or related area, or general knowledge of the new home industry is a plus. Education and experience will be considered.
Enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and the ability to adjust quickly are critical.
Excellent listening, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Proficient computer skills and knowledge, including Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Salesforce, Docusign, Newstar Sales, Adobe, and video messaging.
