Job Description
The Role:
As a S&OP Analyst in CCA Sales and Operations Planning, you will work cross-functionally with sales, product, finance, and supply chain to strategically drive the business forward utilizing the S&OP Process and the latest processes and tools. This role is fast-paced and requires a critical understanding of GM’s business, business processes, sales, forecasting, demand, and supply chain. Given the above, the candidate must have a proven track record of taking the initiative, dealing with ambiguity, problem solving, driving accountability, and leading change.
What You’ll Do:
Responsible for working cross functionally to obtain and create future demand plans supporting CCA sales channel growth (Retail, Wholesale, ACDelco)
Work with cross-functional partners in sales / marketing and product teams to create proposed demand plans, understand supply constraints, and analyze for impact to revenue targets, for short, mid and long-term planning time horizon
Utilize the latest tools to understand constraints in the supply chain and their impacts to sales and financial targets
Identify demand risks and opportunities based on supplier constraints, statistical analysis, events evaluation, and customers’ feedback
Understand S&OP parameters required to drive accountability through the S&OP Process
Monitor and manage key performance indicators for GMNA S&OP pertaining to demand
Ensure consensus demand aligns with forecast for the appropriate periods
Perform ad hoc analysis of demand to support S&OP
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Proficiency in Excel
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience in Supply Chain, Supply/Demand planning
Desire and ability to learn SQL Developer, KNIME, or Databricks
Working knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning parameters and overall objectives
Ability to analyze data and develop key takeaways in complex datasets
Ability to excel in a fast paced, cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues, while maintaining positive working relationships with peers and leaders
What Can Give You a Competitive Advantage (Preferred Qualifications):
Desire and ability to learn SQL Developer, KNIME, or Databricks
Kinaxis Maestro software
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally
Effective communicator with solid oral and written presentation skills
Automotive aftermarket experience
Timely decision making with limited information (ambiguity)
Autonomy, strong communication skills, and ability to coordinate cross functionally and drive innovation
A curiosity and desire to learn
