Job Description
Job Summary:
The (Senior) Sales Manager is responsible for further strengthening and development of TDBV’s overall business in his or her territory. He/she will operate in a world-class international sales and marketing team. He/she acts as a strong leader to define and assure the realization of strategic, tactical and operational goals set for the territory. The (Senior) Sales Manager is instrumental in growing the market share of TDBV and is responsible for developing account strategies for existing and new OEM customers for different product families.

Sales
The (Senior) Sales Manager is responsible for further strengthening and development of TDBV’s overall business in his or her territory. He/she is responsible for defining and assuring the realization of strategic, tactical and operational goals set for the territory.
Key activities:
- In close cooperation with the Business Line Managers define and implement short, medium, and long-term strategies to maintain existing accounts for specific product families
- Develop and manage account plans for existing accounts
- Managing and leveraging long time relationships with OEM customers
- Execute business development for new design-in opportunities at existing customers
- Manage overall sales processes and drive for continuous improvements
- Execute and outperform the sales targets including margin realization
- In close cooperation with Manager Sales Operations, manage the customer requirements in a timely and professional manner
- Engage in commercial negotiation and initiate and or participate in long-term company agreements and specific individual agreements
- Drive and support execution of strategic deals
Business Development
The (Senior) Sales Manager is instrumental in growing the market share of TDBV and is responsible for developing account strategies for existing and new OEM customers for different product families
Key activities:
- In close cooperation with the Business Line Managers define and implement short, medium, and long-term strategies to develop new accounts for specific product families.
- Develop and manage the account plans for new accounts.
- Execute business development for new design-in opportunities at new customers.
- Generate, qualify, and prioritize leads in your territory.
Supporting (VP) Marketing & Sales (VPMS)
Within its role as (Senior) Sales Manager he/she is responsible for supporting the whole Marketing & Sales team and supporting the VP with his reporting responsibilities.
Key activities:
- Issue a monthly forecast for the territory to be send to the VPMS
- Update customer information in Sales Force (CRM)
- Participate in discussions within the M&S team
- Be a backup for other team members of the M&S team, such as Inside Sales and Business Development/Product Manager
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Physics or related technical field, Business Administration or equivalent combination of education, by higher professional education or University
- At least five to seven years previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a professional B2B high tech (inter)national environment in product development, customer application support role followed by proven track record in account management and/or business development in the area of semiconductors, electronic imaging sensor devices (preferably X-ray or optical sensors), healthcare imaging, non-destructive testing or security imaging
- Profound knowledge of X-Ray detector technologies and complex imaging systems
- Good communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Ability to effectively present and influence individuals and groups at all levels
- Negotiating skills, result driven with a hands on mentality
- Focused and problem solving team player who creates strong commitment with internal stakeholders and external parties
- Strategic, analytical, structured, accurate and able to maintain overview, assess priorities and focus on actual results
- Able to adapt and function effectively in different cultural environments
- Good knowledge of English (oral and written)
