Greco are looking to hire a Sales Manager. The Sales Manager is responsible for managing customer enquiries, generating and converting quotations, and supporting business growth through effective customer engagement and cross-functional collaboration. The role ensures accurate technical qualification of customer requirements, timely quotation follow-up, sales order progression, and compliance with export control requirements.

The Sales Manager plays a key role in business forecasting, marketing support, customer relationship management, and maintaining strong internal and external relationships to maximise revenue and customer satisfaction.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in a technical sales or commercial role.
  • Experience working within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments.
  • Proven track record of managing quotations through to order conversion.
  • Experience liaising with production, engineering, and international partners.

Knowledge

  • Understanding of technical product applications and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of export control requirements (desirable).
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Understanding of forecasting and sales pipeline management.
  • Working knowledge of marketing support activities.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Professional telephone manner and customer-facing presence.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems).
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and environmental requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Enquiry & Quotation Management:

  • Receive, acknowledge, and accurately record customer enquiries.
  • Qualify technical and environmental requirements for customer applications.
  • Liaise with engineering and production to ensure technically accurate quotations.
  • Prepare and issue quotations in a timely manner. Same day turnaround essential.
  • Adhere to quotation follow-up processes to maximise conversion rates.
  • Generate timely customer feedback on issued quotations.

Sales Order & Compliance Coordination:

  • Monitor and progress enquiries through to confirmed bookings.
  • Liaise with production/office manager to ensure export control requirements are identified and met.
  • Coordinate internally to ensure customer requirements are deliverable and compliant.
  • Monitor on time delivery performance to key customers.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Maintain regular communication with existing and prospective customers.
  • Ensure accurate and immediate input of customer information into company databases/CRM as required.
  • Liaise with international business partners where required.
  • Support customer visits, calls, and presentations as needed.

Reporting, Forecasting & Marketing Support:

  • Collate enquiry and order data to produce regular statistical and performance reports.
  • Contribute to business forecasting and pipeline visibility.
  • Provide marketing support and feedback on market trends.
  • Share market intelligence with senior management.

Internal Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Liaise with all departments to ensure accurate and consistent customer information.
  • Uphold Group management behaviours and equal opportunity policies.
