What You'll Do

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Regional Sales Manager with a specialisation in knee, hip, and shoulder surgery to lead and manage a high-performing sales team across The Netherlands. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of regional management experience, combined with a strong background in orthopaedic sales and a proven track record of sales success.

This leadership role is responsible for driving regional revenue growth, coaching and developing sales representatives, managing key customer relationships, and executing strategic initiatives to expand market share in both NHS and private healthcare sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Team Management

Lead, coach, and develop a team of orthopaedic sales representatives across the region.

Set clear performance targets and KPIs, and ensure consistent achievement of regional sales goals.

Conduct regular field visits, performance reviews, and training sessions to support team development.

Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Strategic Territory Development

Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with national objectives.

Identify growth opportunities across knee, hip, and shoulder portfolios and drive execution.

Analyse market dynamics, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions.

Collaborate with marketing, clinical, and product teams to support regional campaigns and launches.

Key Account Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with high-value customers including orthopaedic surgeons, procurement teams, and hospital administrators.

Support complex sales negotiations, tenders, and long-term contracts.

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through proactive engagement and support.

Clinical & Commercial Expertise

Maintain deep understanding of joint replacement procedures and implant technologies.

Provide guidance and support to sales reps during in-theatre activities and clinical engagements.

Stay current with surgical trends, regulatory updates, and product innovations.

Reporting & Compliance

Monitor and report on regional performance, pipeline development, and forecast accuracy.

Ensure all team activities comply with MHRA regulations, company policies, and hospital protocols.

Manage budgets, expenses, and resource allocation effectively.
