About the Sales Manager: 
MarketStar is seeking a Sales Manager in our Ogden, UT office. The Sales Manager will report to the Program Manager over the assigned customer base. As an integral part of our team, the Sales Manager is a key position as the subject matter expert and leader within each customer portfolio.  
 
Location: US-Remote 
 
What will you do? 

  • Be the primary point of contact for client stakeholders associated with the accounts that your team supports, collaborating on initiatives and sales priorities  

  • Own a territory quota consisting of customer retention and growth metrics 

  • Develop and deliver weekly and monthly business reviews focused on team sales performance, pipeline management, and customer insights 

  • Manage a downline of 4-8 reps consisting of account managers and SDRs 

  • Execute effective sales coaching with reps weekly to enhance individual growth, territory performance, and capture industry trends  

  • Provide team support associated with customer challenges, processes, and issues 

  • Assist with new hire onboarding and training as a mentor, streamlining path to productivity 

  • Provide communication and insights to the Program Manager, Director and Client contacts regarding activities and trends across the customer base  

  • Identify and make recommendations for process development, improvement, and application in partnership with the team Operation Manager  

  • Act as a subject matter expert in the processes and products in the customer portfolio as assigned  

  • Leverage independence in your workday to prioritize tasks, projects, and initiatives  

  • Work with stakeholders across customers and internal teams to assign product allocation, prioritize shipments, and create solution for all involved parties  

  • Coordinate and execute targeted product campaigns across key customers with priority for retention and growth  

 

What Will You Need to Succeed?: 

  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Salesforce and other sales prospecting tools 

  • Previous experience in sales leadership, including managing a direct downline  

  • Constantly strives to improve, proactively seeking coaching and guidance from peers and managers  

  • The desire and ability to learn on the fly, think creatively, and maintain urgency  

  • Ability to read and apply reporting to daily decisions (forecasting, opportunities, sales revenue, etc.) 

  • Professional written and verbal communication skills  

  • Experience working with a variety of personalities and customers  

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment 

  • Constantly strives to improve, proactively seeking and providing coaching and guidance from peers and managers  

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality 

  • Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines and maintain urgency 

Compensation Range: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00

The salary range for this position is between $65,000.00 and $70,000.00 annually. This pay structure may also include a variable bonus component of $5,000.00 annually. There are several factors to consider including but not limited to, the role’s responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, internal equity, and key skills.
