Job title: E-commerce Sales Manager

Department & Location: Global Markets Group, Shanghai

Report to: China Senior Sales Manager

Church & Dwight’s Export team conducts business in over 130 countries and represents one of the fastest growing business units within Church & Dwight. China market is a very strategic and important market. This role is new within this team and has been created to address brand-building and sales execution needs to enable rapid growth in China.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and results-driven E-commerce & GTM Lead to spearhead the launch and growth of Hero Cosmetics and Touchland in China. This role will play a critical part in building the brands from the ground up — defining go-to-market strategy, leading e-commerce commercialization, and driving sustainable growth across China’s digital ecosystem.

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, has strong experience in beauty or personal care brands, and understands how to successfully build and scale brands in China’s fast-moving e-commerce landscape.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Be the owner of brand in China E-commerce channels, by leading internal team and external partners to deploy P/L management and portfolio.
  • Responsibility for the E-commerce/Digital platform gross sales and MPC% delivery (including traditional E-commerce such as Alibaba/JD, social commerce such as Douyin and Kuai). Implement account strategies and drive go-to-market strategies to deliver consistent and profitable growth.
  • Oversee end-to-end operations of the E-commerce platform, ensuring performance, resources and user experience.

Brand Launch & Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Lead the market entry and go-to-market strategy for Personal Care Brands in China.
  • Define channel strategy, pricing architecture, product assortment, and launch roadmap.
  • Drive successful brand introduction and awareness building across key digital platforms.

E-commerce Business Ownership

  • Own and drive e-commerce growth across platforms including Tmall, JD, Douyin and other emerging channels.
  • Develop annual and quarterly commercial plans, including promotional strategy, traffic acquisition, and GMV targets.
  • Continuously optimize product mix, pricing, and promotional strategy to improve profitability and ROI.

Growth & Commercial Execution

  • Identify key growth opportunities through consumer insights, market trends, and competitive analysis.
  • Drive new customer acquisition, repeat purchase, and brand penetration through data-driven initiatives.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to translate brand strategy into high-impact commercial campaigns.

Partner & Platform Collaboration

  • Manage relationships with key e-commerce partners, distributors, and platforms.
  • Lead joint business planning with strategic partners.
  • Ensure strong operational execution across store management, campaigns, and platform resources.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with marketing, supply chain, finance, and global brand teams.
  • Act as a bridge between the China business and global headquarters.
  • Ensure alignment between brand vision and commercial execution.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Marketing, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in e-commerce, sales, or commercial roles within beauty, skincare, cosmetics, or personal care brands.
  • Experience in brand-side beauty companies or beauty retail channels (e.g., Sephora) is highly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of China’s e-commerce ecosystem, including Tmall, JD, Douyin, and emerging platforms.
  • Proven experience in brand launch, category building, or high-growth e-commerce businesses.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
  • Fluent English communication skills to collaborate with international teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, strong ownership, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The job will be based in Church and Dwight Shanghai office and will require occasional (~20%) domestic and international travel.
