Agropur is currently looking for a Sales Manager to join its St-Hubert team.

 

The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the business development of the assigned district, promoting the products marketed by the company and coordinating activities in order to meet the various sales objectives.

  • Salary range 006: $ 95 900$ to $119 900 (Base salary will be determined based on academic background, experience, training, and job-related skills).

 

What’s involved in this role:

 

The Sales Manager will have the following main responsibilities:

 

  • Coaches, manages, motivates and supervises a sales team including Territory Sales Manager (TSM) towards achieving objectives within the retail sector.

  • Ensures proper execution of promotional launch, marketing and Trade Marketing activities while respecting budgets and deadlines.

  • Ensures that the growth of its territory follows the performance of the banners in its territory.

  • Recommends and establishes, in collaboration with team members, action plans and sales and distribution strategies to increase the level of sales and counter the competition.

  • Coordinates and maximizes the distribution of retail products through distributor agents and its sales team.

  • Organizes and leads coaching sessions with TSM, writes evaluations of team members aimed at developing skills.

  • Participates in the negotiation of commercial agreements.

  • Performs tasks related to the management of customer accounts including business reviews while coaching the TSM who have these responsibilities.

  • Manages, promotes, and recommends effective call coverage strategies across the customer base and ensures effective management of company priorities.

  • Analyzes and communicates market information effectively.

  • Coordinates returns and tablet space management activities to achieve company objectives.

  • Management of price lists, listing and temporary discounts, as well as budget management.

  • Provide adequate sales tools to support sales coordinators in achieving their objectives.

 

What You Need to Join Our Team:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or other relevant field.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in business development and sales.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing a sales team.

  • Relevant experience in the food or consumer products industry.

  • Proficiency with common software such as Microsoft Office, Nielsen – Oracle.

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for travel.

  • Customer-oriented with demonstrated sales expertise.

  • Excellent skills in qualifying, negotiating, and closing sales.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in French and English (English required to work with colleagues from other Canadian provinces).
