Malaysia Country Sales Manager
Reports To: Regional Sales Director (Instruments)

Primary Function
The Malaysia Country Sales Manager is the national business leader responsible for driving sustainable, profitable growth across Agilent’s full portfolio—encompassing instruments, services, chemistries, and workflow solutions. This role provides strategic direction for the Malaysia market, shaping multi‑year growth strategies while building a high‑performing, customer‑centric commercial organization.
The position requires strong strategic acumen, deep market insight, and the ability to translate evolving customer and industry trends into impactful “Go‑To‑Market” (GTM) strategies. The leader will strengthen Agilent’s market position, elevate operational and commercial excellence, and champion a cohesive, inclusive culture across Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Business Leadership
Own Malaysia’s P&L and develop holistic growth strategies across customer segments, channels, and product portfolios.
Formulate and execute a 3–5 year strategic plan aligned with APAC regional priorities, with clear targets for market share, margin expansion, and order growth.
Future‑proof Malaysia’s GTM model by incorporating macro trends, including regulatory shifts, digital adoption, competitive dynamics, and talent evolution.
Strengthen Agilent’s strategic relevance and influence with Malaysian government agencies, research institutes, and industry bodies.
2. Commercial Execution Excellence
Lead the field sales organization to deliver superior sales execution and multi‑channel performance.
Accelerate cross‑portfolio growth through solution bundling, workflow‑level selling, and expansion of recurring revenue streams (services, consumables, chemistries).
Elevate Key Account Management (KAM) capabilities through strategic account planning, multilevel stakeholder engagement, and disciplined pipeline management.
Drive operational rigor by strengthening forecasting accuracy, funnel quality, and sales process effectiveness.
3. Organization & Talent Development
Build the next‑generation commercial organization by enhancing capabilities in channel management, enterprise selling, and client acquisition.
Coach, mentor, and develop high‑potential talent while establishing succession plans for mission‑critical roles.
Foster a high‑engagement, performance‑driven culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
Champion diversity, inclusion, and cross‑cultural agility across Malaysian teams.
4. Cross‑Functional & Cross‑Regional Leadership
Serve as the primary link between Malaysia operations and APAC Business Units, ensuring alignment with global strategies and operational standards.
Collaborate closely with marketing, service, technical support, supply chain, and channel management to deliver a seamless end‑to‑end customer experience.
Participate in regional leadership councils and cross‑functional task forces to influence APAC‑wide initiatives, policies, and business direction.
Promote innovation and digital adoption, embedding a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement to maintain competitive advantage.
5. Governance, Compliance & Business Ethics
Demonstrate unwavering commitment to business ethics, compliance, and responsible leadership.
Strengthen governance maturity through transparent communication, data‑driven decision making, and adherence to global policies and standards.
Technical & Professional Requirements
Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline; or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum 8+ years of experience in technical sales, marketing, or technical support within scientific instrumentation, life sciences, or chemistry solutions.
Proven success leading multinational, remote, and cross‑functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex portfolios involving both direct and indirect channel structures.
Leadership Competencies
Strategic thinker with demonstrated success influencing across large, complex matrix organizations.
Strong executive presence with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to work with C‑suite executives, regulators, partners, and government agencies in Malaysia.
Proven change leader with experience driving transformation, developing organizational capability, and leading teams through growth cycles.
Data‑driven and commercially astute, with the ability to innovate GTM models and execute new business initiatives.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
