Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales & Business Development Manager to lead and drive the commercial success of our Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) portfolio within the Latin American (LATAM) region. This pivotal role is responsible for establishing and exceeding sales targets, developing the regional commercial strategy, and building a robust ecosystem of customers and partners to position Airbus Helicopters as a leader in the UAS market.
This job requires strong awareness of any potential compliance risk and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation of the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Performance
Accountability: Be fully accountable for meeting and exceeding the established regional sales objectives for the UAS portfolio.
Commercial Strategy: Drive the commercial strategy for UAS across the entire LATAM region, ensuring alignment with global business goals.
Campaign Management: Responsible for the development and follow-up of UAS sales campaigns, working closely with regional Sales Managers to ensure successful execution.
Sales Monitoring: Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and prepare detailed progress reports for the Head of Sales.
Salesforce Management: Ensure Salesforce is used as a lever and to ensure accurate and timely information regarding UAS sales opportunities and activities.
Customer Engagement and Partnership Development
Negotiation : Support and lead negotiation and key customer engagements for UAS deals in the region.
Liaison Role: Act, in conjunction with the UAS Ambassador, as the main liaison between the global UAS program team and the LATAM sales & services team.
Ecosystem Building: Develop a comprehensive network of UAS operators, potential partners (including those for training and maintenance of our UAS systems), and key stakeholders throughout the region.
Marketing and Communication Leadership
Market Positioning: Lead regional marketing and communication efforts to strategically position Airbus Helicopters portfolio.
Campaign Coordination: Coordinate marketing campaigns (including demos/demonstrations), sales initiatives, and promotional activities across the LATAM region in full alignment with the central UAS team.
Business Intelligence and Planning
Market Intelligence: Contribute to gathering and analyzing intelligence on UAS market dynamics, trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions.
OP Planning: Contribute to feed the Operational Planning (OP) process for both UAS and CuC-T product lines.
Required Skills and Experience
Several years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial roles, preferably within the aerospace, defense, or unmanned systems industry.
Strong understanding of the UAS/Drone market, technologies, and regulatory environment in Latin America.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to engage confidently at executive levels.
Excellent communication and presentation skill in English, Spanish and Portuguese is required.
Proficiency with CRM systems, specifically Salesforce.
Willingness to travel frequently across the LATAM region.
Exceptional leadership skills to work in a matrix organization and to onboard an operational
team in a complex and dynamic, multi-cultural environment
Strong project management skills in cross function, cross division, cross BU environment
High level of autonomy to manage projects without close supervision
Strong business and financial acumen
Ability to interact and lead relationship with Executives and Senior Management
