Water Quality (‘WQ”) Platform is part of the Environmental & Applied Solutions reporting segment and is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater, and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Our water quality business provides products under a variety of brands, including Hach, Trojan Technologies, McCrometer and ChemTreat. WQ Asia has sales offices in India, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
Hach-TH Water Quality Platform, a part of the Hach Company, is a leader in manufacturing and distributing analytical instruments and reagents used to test water quality and other liquid solutions. In response to the rapidly expanding reagent in water test business in Thailand, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Water Quality Thailand Group as a Sales Engineer (Municipal, Government & EPC Project)
The Sales Engineer will drive revenue growth and account penetration across government agencies, municipalities, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and EPC firms. This role combines technical solution selling, tender/bid management, and ecosystem development (consultants, contractors, distributors) to position our solutions throughout the project lifecycle—from pre-specification to award, delivery, and after-sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and execute account plans for key Ministries, Municipal Authorities, SOEs, and targeted EPC/consulting firms.
Map stakeholders (end users, specifiers, PMOs, procurement, finance, O&M) and build multi-level relationships.
Maintain a healthy opportunity pipeline aligned to quarterly/annual targets (bookings, revenue, margin).
Monitor public procurement portals and EPC bid calendars; qualify opportunities early.
Lead pre-bid engagement: RFIs, technical clarifications, value engineering, compliance matrices.
Prepare compliant technical & commercial proposals, BoQs, and detailed scope write-ups (including deviations and assumptions).
Coordinate bid bonds, performance guarantees, and contract terms with Legal/Finance.
Ensure adherence to relevant public procurement regulations, ethics, and transparency requirements.
Conduct site surveys and gather technical requirements; translate into optimal solutions and system architectures.
Deliver technology presentations, demos, and proof-of-concept (POC) to technical and non-technical audiences.
Develop specifications and design-in strategies with consultants and EPCs to ensure our solutions are favored in tenders.
Provide lifecycle cost analysis (LCCA), ROI/TCO, and sustainability/value propositions.
Align with distributors/integrators/contractors for coverage and execution readiness.
Support subcontractor qualification, capability assessment, and pricing strategy.
Drive joint pursuit plans with EPCs from FEED to detailed design, award, and commissioning.
Ensure smooth handover to project delivery/PM teams with complete documentation.
Support factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), commissioning, and training plans as needed.
Maintain customer satisfaction and drive change orders or upsell opportunities.
Maintain accurate CRM hygiene (contacts, activities, pipeline stages, close dates).
Provide monthly/quarterly forecasts, risk assessments, and competitor intelligence.
Comply with Ethics & Compliance, Trade Compliance, Data Privacy, and Health & Safety policies.
Qualifications:
Prefer a BA or BS degree in Chemical, Chemistry, Biology, Environment Sciences, or equivalent experience. Alternate science degrees will be considered.
Sales experience (at least four years) in similar products and services on industrial segment Muni/EPC/SI) e.g., sales of high turnover commodities preferred
Individuals equipped with a more technically inclined sales approach will be an added advantage
Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other IT software to facilitate sales related administrative work, in areas of quotations & project bid proposals preparations.
Must have a valid driver’s license and possess own vehicle
