The Sales Engineer, Technical (SET) is responsible for account development, opportunity discovery/development, initial opportunity qualification and full enablement and support of the ERP Analysts (ERPA) Solutions team opportunity qualification and solution development efforts. The SET must have experience selling ERP solutions to Oracle/PeopleSoft clients across industry verticals. PeopleSoft sales experience is required. 

 

The SET is responsible for organizing and facilitating the client/opportunity development process as the liaison between client and ERPA Solutions and Delivery teams.  As an SET the top priority is new business development and customer relationship building for the purposes of selling all aspects of the ERP Analysts Direct Sales portfolio of solutions; including: AWS hosting, Managed Projects, Managed Services, Security Automation, Automated Testing, Managed Hosting and Consulting Services (Staff Augmentation) for our PeopleSoft, Oracle Cloud, and prospective Workday services.

In addition to direct sales responsibilities, the SET is responsible for supporting, mentoring, and guiding other ERPA sales executives in the pursuit of sales.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Helping advance the ERPA's target market and technical strategy by driving the technical solutions offered by emerging cloud-based technologies.
  • Developing new customer services by helping define, identify, and pursue key technical opportunities; articulating and implementing strategic solutions aligned to ERPA direction, based on an understanding of the technical considerations, certifications, and procurement processes specific to the public sector; 
  • Understanding customers’ technical requirements and working closely with their IT development team(s) to guide the direction of our product offerings for developers; developing and managing a growing customer base for mid-market accounts;
  • Collaborating with ERPA Solution Architects, Partners, Legal, Marketing, Product, Capture/Contracts, and Executive leadership to determine the most effective go-to-market strategies for technical software systems; establishing strong business and technical relationships through knowledge of the customers’ goals and technical environments;
  • Identifying specific prospects/partners/channels to approach while communicating relevant value propositions in software systems for the customer;
  • Maintaining an accurate and robust pipeline and forecast of ERPA business opportunities;
  • Developing and managing the technical sales pipeline by engaging with prospects, partners, and key customers needing complex IT solutions; and preparing and delivering technical business reviews to the senior management team regarding quarterly and yearly strategies that align with revenue growth expectations.

 REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE:

o   Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent work experience

o   Three - Five years of previous sales experience

o   Superior customer service skills

o   Have led PeopleSoft consulting services sales cycles

o   Have led AWS delivery sales cycles

o   Maintain proper documentation in the system of record

o   Sales cycle management experience

o   Capable of self management of time and activities

o   Effective utilization of time related to lead generation, sales, and marketing activities

o   Execute business strategies, goals and objectives set by the organization

o   Attend Sales Meetings as scheduled

o   Document production data in a timely manner

o   Develop and maintain relationships with ISV Partner Sales representatives

o   Increase revenue through new accounts and expand services within existing accounts

o   Develop long-term business partnerships with clients and prime contractors and managing those relationships

o   Manage strategic relationships with key Tier 1 Vendors
