Job Description Summary

The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving growth and expanding direct sales and profit margins within small and medium business customers across the assigned territory. This role focuses on acquiring new customers, expanding existing SMB accounts, and building strong relationships with key decision‑makers, while consistently meeting sales volume and margin targets.

About the Role

The Sales Engineer will focus primarily on small and medium‑sized customers, managing a high‑activity sales environment with strong emphasis on new customer acquisition, opportunity development, and competitive equipment replacement. The role requires a strong commercial mindset, technical aptitude, and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously while delivering value‑based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, with a strong focus on equipment sales and competitive attach.

  • Drive new account acquisition and expand business within existing customers.

  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with key customer decision‑makers.

  • Manage the sales funnel, forecasts, and opportunity pipeline to achieve sales targets and key performance metrics.

  • Work closely with internal teams, distributors, and technical resources to deliver effective solutions to customers.

  • Execute value‑based selling strategies aligned with customer needs and company priorities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in industrial or technical environments.

  • Proven experience in sales and account management.

  • Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to interface effectively with customers, sales engineers, distributors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Experience or knowledge of Videojet products, coding & marking solutions, or packaging lines is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong commercial and account management capabilities.

  • Ability to drive both short‑ and long‑term results with ownership and accountability.

  • Experience managing projects and delivering customer‑focused solutions.

  • Proficiency with Salesforce (SFDC) or similar CRM platforms.

  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a self‑directed and autonomous manner.

Preferred Skills

  • Value‑based selling skills.

  • Sales funnel and pipeline management expertise.
