Job Description:
AROL designs, produces and globally delivers proprietary capping and closure systems. AROL’s cap solutions, such as their press-on overcaps, pre-threaded flat plastic caps, aluminum caps, and steel crown corks, are utilized in a wide range of business areas including popular beverages, food closures, household care, personal care, pharmaceutical, and chemical closures. All of AROL’s equipment is designed and manufactured exclusively from their manufacturing facilities in Canelli, Italy with engineering professionals placed across North America to service U.S.-based AROL customers.
Sales Engineer Leader
Location: Buford, GA
The Sales Engineering Leader will be responsible for the following:
- Apply extensive understanding of AROL Italy equipment, such as mono-head capping machines: Cappers: Eagle PK, Eagle VP, Eagletronic; Plungers: Eagle PP; Crowner: Eagle C; Corkers: Gemini; Sealer: Eagle VA, Eagle VPA; and multi-head capping machines: Cappers: Euro PK, Euro VP, Equatorque PK, Equatorque VP; Plungers: Euro PP, Euro PKV; Crowners: Esse PK, Esse; Corkers: Quasar, Saturno; and Sealers: Euro VA, Euro VPA to analyze the customers’ evolving product needs, such as the diameter of the customers’ bottle, height, material, size of the neck, and cap dimensions (number of threads, material), in order to determine how to customize and upgrade AROL equipment in response to customers’ new requirements.
- Critically evaluate the configuration of the customers’ legacy AROL Italy’s capper industrial equipment (including number of spindles, type of heads, chucks or grippers, materials of the capper, profile of the cam, type and dimension of motors installed) in order to confirm the feasibility of an engineering upgrade of the installed AROL Italy’s machinery and pro-vide a specific quote.
- Analyze diagnostic visit reports for AROL Italy’s proprietary equipment and prepare a responsive engineering strategy and operations necessary to overhaul the capper, feeding system or sorting system, considering the age and status of the equipment.
- Troubleshoot and provide expertise and guidance to the Service department on challenging service calls and problems.
- Serve as expert to Sales Department to recommend the best, most applicable AROL proprietary equipment.
- Train and support AROL USA sales, aftersales, and engineering technical support teams on the proprietary AROL Italy equipment, which is designed and manufactured in Italy and on the highly sophisticated JGalileo System.
Required Education and Experience:
- Position requires a High School Diploma, or foreign equivalent; and 8 years of prior relevant experience.
Must have:
- 8 years of experience translating complex technical details into logical narratives that resonate with clients;
- 8 years of experience in consultative selling by understanding customer challenges and crafting tailored solutions;
- 8 years of experience in industry specific software, such as Solidworks, and Think Design to derive insights from customer data;
- 8 years of experience in customer relationship management and cross -functional collaboration to bridge the gaps between engineering, sales and customer support teams;
- 5 years of experience working on Food Processing Capital equipment or like equipment in an Industrial Manufacturing environment; and
- 5 years of experience working with blueprints and schematic drawings for Capital equipment (Food Processing, fast pace conveyor systems in industrial environment).
Position requires the following certifications:
- Applications in Engineering Mechanics.
- Machine Design Part 1.
Travel:
Position requires up to 20% domestic travel to customer sites and 15% international travel to Canada, Mexico, Italy and South America in order to provide expertise on AROL equipment to customers.
