Water Quality (‘WQ”) Platform is part of the Environmental & Applied Solutions reporting segment and is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater, and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Our water quality business provides products under a variety of brands, including Hach, Trojan Technologies, McCrometer and ChemTreat. Hach-TH Water Quality Platform, a part of the Hach Company, is a leader in manufacturing and distributing analytical instruments and reagents used to test water quality and other liquid solutions. In response to the rapidly expanding reagent in water test business in Thailand, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Water Quality Thailand Group as an Sales Engineer (Semiconductor / F&B).
POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for driving sales of the company’s products, solutions, and services within the Industrial sector. The position focuses on expanding the customer base, developing new business opportunities, and strengthening existing relationships. It involves executing sales activities in an assigned territory, identifying opportunities for online process and lab instruments, participating in customer visits and product demonstrations, and collaborating closely with internal teams to support business growth. The role also requires accurate sales forecasting, maintaining customer records in SFDC (SalesForce), and monitoring competitive activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sales Engineer promotes the company’s products & solutions and services to the Industrial sector and expands existing customer bases, establishes new customers relationships, and develops the business to new customers.
Performs all sales activity within an assigned accounts to meet company objectives.
Annually submits and implements a detailed sales action plan identifying: On-line Process and Lab instrument sales objectives, sales opportunities for customers, and regional shows to be attended during the following fiscal year by SFDC
Participates in sales activities, including key customer site visits, developing the On-line Process and Lab instrument business, increasing our On-line Process and Lab instrument market share, trade seminars/shows, workshops, product demonstrations
Submit annual, monthly, and weekly sales forecasts to the Sales Manager
Maintains customer activity files in SFDC
Work closely with the Sales Manager, Application Engineer, and Marketing team to drive the business through the existing strategy
Collects and reports information on all competitive activity within the assigned territory.
Other duties that will be assigned from time to time
KEY COMPETENCIES/ QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong background in Engineering/Science in Chemical, Chemistry, Biology, Environment Sciences or equivalent. Alternate Science Degrees will be also considered.
Excellent in Thai and good in English communication both speaking and writing
Sales experience (at least 5 years) in similar products and services in industrial segments, Semiconductor/ F&B/ Global Key Account/ Key Account of Sales Achievement is preferred.
Individuals, equipped with a more technically inclined sales approach will be an added advantage.
Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other IT software to facilitate sales related administrative work, in areas of quotations & project bid proposals preparations.
Must have a valid driver’s license and possess own vehicle
