Responsibilities and Impact:
S&P Global Market Intelligence Lending Solutions is seeking to hire a sales manager who will be responsible for supervising and organizing our Investment Banking sales team. A successful candidate will oversee sales by developing business plans, meeting planned goals, and coordinating with our marketing department on lead generation. They will also be tasked with overseeing the activities and performance of your sales team by tracking sales goals, setting individual sales targets, and facilitate the ongoing training of your salespeople.
Responsibilities include:
Managing organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and expense controls.
Meeting planned sales goals.
Setting individual sales targets with the sales team.
Tracking sales goals and reporting results, as necessary.
Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team.
Coordinating with marketing on lead generation.
The ongoing training of salespeople.
Developing sales team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education.
Promoting the organization and products.
Understand our ideal customers and how they relate to our products.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $124,192 to $185,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual sales commission plan.

What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
Experience in customer relationship management.
Experience managing and leading a sales team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Dedication to providing great customer service.
Excellent communication skills.
Performance Management of sales reps through coaching and setting expectations up front.
Active listening to resolve conflict and talk to prospective customers and members of the team.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a sales-related management role is a plus.
A sense of social selling skills in using social media to find and interact with sales prospects.
