Sales Development Representative

Remote Full Time

Genomic Life is seeking an experienced Sales Development Representative to join our talented team. The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a highly motivated individual contributor responsible for driving revenue and membership growth through lead generation and new logo sales. This person generates new business by prospecting, qualifying leads, and booking external meetings for the commercial team, acting as the vital first point of contact in the sales cycle through cold calling, emailing, and social outreach to build a strong pipeline, educate prospects, and drive company growth. Achieving profitable revenue growth through ethical conduct and compliant business practices is the foundation of success for this role.

Salary Range: $90-120k plus commission

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales and account management team(s) and develop strategies to meet or exceed sales goals on an annual basis
  • Identify and engage potential customers (employers, brokers, health plans, etc.) through cold calls, conferences, emails, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Determine if leads meet criteria (e.g., budget, authority, need, timing) to ensure a successful sale
  • Create and manage a healthy pipeline of interested prospects
  • Book qualified discovery calls or demos for commercial team
  • Communicate the company’s value propositions through, but not limited to, presentations and proposals, conference participation, and other networking opportunities
  • Gather prospect data and understand customer needs to tailor outreach
  • Build relationships with warm leads
  • Document customer interactions and maintain data related to activities, opportunities and distribution partners within Salesforce
  • Assist with creation of proposals and manage sales@genomiclife.com email inbox to assess potential opportunities
  • Communicate the company’s value propositions through, but not limited to, presentations and proposals, conference participation, and other networking opportunities
  • Leverage internal subject matter expertise, medical directors and clinical resources in a manner that elevates close ratios for sales
  • Maintain technical and professional knowledge by attending internal sales meetings and participating in professional organizations, and growing personal networks
  • Develop and review sales pipeline strategies and create and execute on strategic selling plans for key pursuits
  • Efficiently manage travel and entertainment budget in compliance with company expectations, grounded in fiscal responsibility

Requirements:

  • 5 or more years of experience as a high performing sales development representative
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Ability to read, learn, understand and communicate broadly on the benefits of genetic testing and genomic medicine
  • Ability to work well within a team concept that encourages sales reps to engage, communicate and share success in order to achieve company goals
  • A background of selling into the healthcare and employee benefits space and the ability to develop strong broker relationships is highly preferred
  • Strong business rationale and ability to create business cases for internal and external use
  • Proficiency with critical business measurements, including quantitative measures used by consultants and clients to make informed data-driven decisions
  • Ability to apply a tech savvy approach with the use of technology tools including AI applications to research and identify key customers
  • Ability to travel 20-30% of the time
