Job Description
Overview:
As a Sales Associate, you will foster the CX experience by being a subject matter expert for your community and compose personalized, memorable experiences throughout the home buying journey. As an integral member of the team, you continue to develop educational relationships with prospective homebuyers and current homeowners.
Your development begins by supporting your Area Sales Manager throughout the sales home buying process, maintain MLS listings, assist with administrative tasks and answer common questions from customers. You seamlessly connect with Sales and Marketing, Design, Construction, Customer Care, Purchasing, and Accounting teams as needed throughout the customer journey.
*This role requires consistent weekend and evening work (Sales Centre hours) *
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Community Manager with agreement processing and the transition to Customer Care, ensuring contracts, documentation, and follow‑ups are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the end‑to‑end customer journey, from agreement to closing and key construction milestones, ensuring a consistent, seamless, and high‑quality experience.
- Represent customer interests internally by attending customer and community meetings, coordinating with Construction and internal teams, and documenting changes, requests, and commitments.
- Maintain in‑depth knowledge of Brookfield Residential’s products, features, and community offerings, as well as local market conditions and competitors, to effectively guide customer decision‑making and support sales success.
- Run sales administration and reporting, including sales reports, AVID ratings, and related metrics, while ensuring all required information is submitted to the appropriate departments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prospect, network, and establish relationships within the regional residential community to generate new business opportunities and maintain strong sales centre conversion rates.
- Collaborate closely with Construction, Marketing, Estimating, and Administration teams to ensure proper information flow, orderly start and delivery of sold and spec homes, and alignment with business plan objectives.
- Chip in to marketing efforts by providing insights on traffic demographics and sources, maintaining project‑specific website content, and offering input on innovative marketing solutions and product differentiation.
- Ensure all Homes Division assets, sales centres, show homes, and inventory are represented professionally and marketed in accordance with company standards.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by recognizing special circumstances, supporting flexible solutions when appropriate, and encouraging long‑term customer happiness built on integrity, fairness, and trust.
What You'll Bring:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business or related area preferred, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales or a combination of education and experience will also be considered
- Previous customer service experience with a proven successful track record.
- Experience with managing multiple deliverables at the same time; detail oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to deliver on performance metrics and key milestones.
- Champions of technology; open to learning and new experiences
- Experience with CRM and ERP
- Experience with Salesforce, Hubspot and NewStar are a plus, but not required
- Must have accurate and efficient keyboarding and data entry skills
