Sales and Service- Asst Manager--- Tools & Automation

Pune, Pune District, Maharashtra, India Full time

Outline of Main Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Lead Regional Level  sales & Service of SAT DC Torque Tools to achieve sales target.
  • Develops and implements an agreed upon regional sales plan which will meet the business goals of increasing sales to the customer base and improving customer satisfaction
  • RFQ Study, Techno Commercial Offer Submission, Negotiate and close agreements with customers Requirement.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
  • Liaising with and working alongside sales and Service engineers.
  • Offering customer training.
  • Lead regional Sales to educate the customer proving Stanley as a superior product thru Commerical handlings, Application Study, Demo Activities and detailed technical Walk thru of the product.
  • Liaise closely with the Product/Engineering team of the customer to ensure that the expectation and Stanley understanding is in sync. Use the opportunity to brand Stanley as a Solution provider.
  • Develop and write specifications, performance requirements, Technical analysis and  position attractive proposition to the customer.
  • Participates and initiate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay apprised of new developments in field and keep pace with competitor’s activities and product knowledge.
  • Coordinates presale demonstrations and trade show exhibitions including procurement of equipment, set-up, demonstration, and discussion with potential customers
  • To coordinate with Stanley Principals Unit for getting technical assistance, Application Study, Project Study, BOM preparation, 3D modelling, Configuration making.
  • Offering feedback on future product development, features and functions
  • Help and assist the BU head to make budget and strategic plan for the DC Tools based on business plan,
  • prepare sales strategy for Business expansion in the market and ensure attainment of sales targets and profitability.
  • Prepare action plan for direct reports for effectively servicing customers and leads.
  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
  • Implement action plan for penetration into new markets with Demo/Trails/technical Presentations.
  • Ensure inventory is within permissible limits
  • Monitor Service Team to meet the service standards met at all times and assist them to resolve the Customer Complaints and issues.
  • Keep a tab on competitor activities and ensure that the management is kept informed about any major happenings in the market place.
  • Build and update  Potential customer database-machine configurations and systems Installed-
  • Build reputation of Stanley Engineered Fastening as solution provider for relevant customer requirements
  • Responsible for collection of payment and relevant documentation from customer base

KEY RESULT AREA:

  • All customer RFQ handled within the agreed time
  • Customer feedback on competence and behavior is positive
  • Sales figures and trends for Stanley DC Torque tools Business.
  • Number and range of contacts per customer
  • Customer retention
  • New customer generation

  • Training to customers end user is provided in time and is of a Desired quality and competence

Skills and Formal Training Requirements/Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/Mechatronics), Experience in Sales & Service responsibilities of Capital Equipments preferably in welding Equipments / robotics etc.
  • Past experience in Atlas Copco/Desoutter/Apex/Cleco/IR/Bosch -Similar Brands into DC and Pneumatic Torque Tool selling-
  • Experience: 5 to 8 years in Sales & Marketing, Business Development, Application Study of DC Torque tightening Tools 
  • Essentials: Understanding of Automobile OEM’s and Tiers functioning, Past experience in Torque Tool Selling is must-
  • Excellent leadership and communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Capable of performing professional presentations and demonstrations for all product types targeted for the region
  • Should be self-motivated and ready to take new assignments/opportunities.
  • Must travel extensively within India.
  • Is able to develop new sales strategies based upon prior experience.
  • Is proactive and anticipates potential problems before they can hinder a company’s success.
  • Possesses good customer service skills
