Job Description :Product Safety Engineer  

 

We are looking for product safety Engineer to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact our products safety compliance with required regulations and different customers’ requirements.

What’s in it for you? 

You will play a key role in the planning, and execution on all aspects of product safety for each phase of the development lifecycle. 

Other duties will include guiding cross-functional teams through the safety BKM.  

 

Our group:  

Our group is responsible for the entire product safety process in Product Development, from kickoff to product release. 

We ensure that our developed products are compliance with global and customers regulatory requirements.  

Our products are designed to industry standards and customer specifications. These requirements are determined by review of the specification, and it’s required to use critical thinking skills to determine proper safety requirements for the product. 

 

What you'll be doing? 

  • Prepare Hazard analysis & Risk analysis report. 

  • Prepare Functional safety concept, document and review functional safety requirements with customer and other engineering disciplines. 

  • Consolidate & customize the customers and global regulation safety requirements  

  • Prepare product safety requirements-determine the safety performance based on safety analysis for target architecture. 

  • Prepare Safety plan & Verification plan and assure product compliance with all different safety requirements. 

  • Work closely in the early stages of the product development with the project managers and multiple groups across the organization (Elec, Mech, Motion, Computing, SW, Operation, Manufacturing, Marketing & Support) In order to ensure all safety aspects closure. 

  • Support in testing and validation to ensure system designs meet safety requirements. 

  • Ensures that safety related documentation (e.g., requirements, test, and acceptance documentation) for product is accurate and reflects their true needs. 

  • Participate in safety panel reviews, coordinates with engineering functions to define requirements. 

  • Participates in project team meetings, including formal design reviews. 

  • Lead periodic NPI projects safety master plan meetings. 

  • Keeps your manager and other stakeholders apprised of project safety status and ongoing issues. 

  • Provide real-time and engineering support for safety events investigations 

 

What you should have? 

  • B.Sc. in an Engineering discipline - preferably Electronics 

  • 5 - 10 years of experience with multidisciplinary and complex products. - preferably product safety engineer  

  • Familiarity with manufacturing, field installation & support aspects 

  • Familiarity with global safety regulatory standards  advantage 

  • Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication - Excellent English skills – speak, write, read. 

  • Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to our inclusive culture 

  • Resiliency and a passion for problem solving. 

  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects in parallel.
