Job Description:

Scope: Programs and Projects within AHE Airworthiness & Configuration Department.

Job description: Safety activities consisting in:

  • Working closely with flight test crew, architects and designers to perform safety analysis of cross-functional helicopters in order to:
    • Identify key factors of the design to meet the safety performance
    • Characterize the impact of new functions on safety and propose an adequate strategy to demonstrate safety performance
    • Support the overall design & installation of the systems inside the aircraft to reduce risks of cascading failure, fire or risk in case of collision with birds
    • Define, if needed, recommendation to modify the flight manual for operational safety
    • Ensure that safety requirements are correctly addressed by suppliers
    • Preparation of safety documentation (SSA, SSSA, ZHA, etc)
    • Provide safety assessments in the continued airworthiness process.
  • Negotiation with the Authority for the demonstration of compliance with safety requirements.

Required:

  • Master / Degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
  • Demonstrable minimum 2 years’ full-time experience in Safety is required
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Safety standards ARP 4761, ARP 4754 and MIL-STD-882 is required
  • FAR / CS 27/29/25 knowledge is highly desirable
  • Analytically minded
  • Methodical and structured working style
  • Soft skills are essential to the position
  • English: fluent
  • Spanish: mother tongue/proficiency
  • Microsoft Office Package advance user level
  • Advisable: NECTAR tool knowledge
