As our Safety Coordinator, you will enforce and create set standards, while making recommendations on safety related programs for multiple teams ranging from production to quality. Additionally you will provide support to day-to-day operations, conduct safety walkthroughs/inspections, audits, deliver safety trainings to employees, participate in analyses of workplace incidents and help drive corrective actions.

Position-Related Job Duties and Key Functions

  • Lead the facility Safety Leadership Team by planning and facilitating meetings, driving committee initiatives, assessing effectiveness, and recommending and implementing continuous improvements.
  • Coordinate the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) program, including scheduling and conducting audits, maintaining documentation, analyzing trends, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct comprehensive New Hire Safety Orientation programs.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Safety and Environmental (S&E) programs in alignment with regulatory and corporate requirements.
  • Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS) and chemical inventory records.
  • Train and mentor associates on safety and environmental regulations, procedures, and awareness.
  • Oversee and monitor contractor safety and environmental compliance as directed by management.
  • Provide associate training on forklift operations and other safety‑related topics.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership in administering, promoting, and enforcing facility safety and environmental initiatives.
  • Prepare and present safety and environmental information for plant‑wide meetings and other employee groups.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date employee safety training records.
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute reports and documentation related to Safety and Environmental programs.
  • Stay current on applicable local, state, federal, and corporate safety and environmental regulations and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and environmental laws, standards, and company policies.
  • Conduct periodic safety and environmental audits and inspections.
  • Track corrective actions, monitor completion, and verify effectiveness.
  • Analyze safety performance metrics and present data using charts, graphs, and trend analysis.
  • Maintain organized and auditable records for all safety and environmental activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support facility safety and environmental objectives.

Education and Qualifications

  • High School General Education, Some college coursework preferred.
  • Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline highly desired/
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, standards, and compliance programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with employees, contractors, visitors, and management at all levels.
  • Comfortable speaking and presenting to large groups.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision to drive safety initiatives.
  • Manufacturing experience and environmental compliance knowledge preferred.

Additional Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, standards, and compliance programs
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Proficiency or ability to gain proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other required software systems.
  • Highly organized with the ability to establish and maintain structured processes and documentation.
  • Ability to work extended hours and/or overtime as business needs require.

Pay Range:

United States of America: $88,500 - $99,860

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
