Location: Fully onsite in Cleveland, OH

As a Safety Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in protecting employees, strengthening compliance, and driving a culture of safety across our manufacturing operations. You’ll combine technical expertise with hands-on engagement, ensuring safe working conditions, minimizing risks, and empowering employees through training and education. This is a high-impact role where your work directly contributes to employee well-being and business success.

🎯 What You’ll Do

  • Champion a safe working environment by promoting best practices and proactive risk management

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements, translating standards into practical solutions

  • Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs for employees at all levels

  • Track and analyze safety performance metrics (lost days, incident rates, near misses) to identify trends and drive improvements

  • Maintain accurate documentation to support audits and regulatory compliance

  • Conduct or coordinate industrial hygiene monitoring to safeguard employee health

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to plan and implement safety measures for new processes, equipment, and construction projects

  • Lead and support departmental Safety Teams, fostering collaboration and accountability

  • Drive continuous improvement in safety programs, policies, and procedures

✅ What You Bring

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 2+ years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Proven ability to design and deliver training programs

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and state safety regulations

  • Excellent communication skills with tact and discretion

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing or metals industry background

  • Experience working with regulatory agencies (local, state, federal)

  • Knowledge of environmental compliance programs

  • Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience

  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency

  • Demonstrated success leading safety initiatives with measurable results
