Champion a safe working environment by promoting best practices and proactive risk management
Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements, translating standards into practical solutions
Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs for employees at all levels
Track and analyze safety performance metrics (lost days, incident rates, near misses) to identify trends and drive improvements
Maintain accurate documentation to support audits and regulatory compliance
Conduct or coordinate industrial hygiene monitoring to safeguard employee health
Partner with cross-functional teams to plan and implement safety measures for new processes, equipment, and construction projects
Lead and support departmental Safety Teams, fostering collaboration and accountability
Drive continuous improvement in safety programs, policies, and procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment
Proven ability to design and deliver training programs
Strong knowledge of OSHA and state safety regulations
Excellent communication skills with tact and discretion
Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
Manufacturing or metals industry background
Experience working with regulatory agencies (local, state, federal)
Knowledge of environmental compliance programs
Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience
Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
Demonstrated success leading safety initiatives with measurable results
