We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Airbus A400M Atlas Support Centre UK based at RAF Brize Norton. You will join a team dedicated to delivering key defence outputs, providing a continuous 24/7 service to the Royal Air Force to ensure the airworthiness of their fleet at home and overseas. This is a unique opportunity to shape strategic objectives and directly support the Head of Safety & Compliance in a dynamic, hybrid organisation.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
Lead and mentor the Safety & Compliance team, managing day-to-day activities, escalations, competency assessments, and the oversight of departmental activities to foster a positive safety culture.
Act as the primary deputy for the Head of Safety & Compliance, overseeing strategic implementation, governance, and reporting safety and quality data to the Accountable Manager and Senior Leadership Team.
Drive the Quality and Safety Management Systems (QMS/SMS) by facilitating practical problem solving, management of change sessions, and risk assessments.
Execute duties as a Lead Auditor and Investigator, conducting regulatory audits and liaising with the MAA, external customers, and suppliers to ensure strict compliance with Part 145, Part M, and ISO 9001 requirements.
ABOUT YOU
Engineering background with experience in Aviation Continuing Airworthiness (EASA, CAA, or UK MAA) and ISO 9001 standards.
Proven experience in managing Quality and Safety Management Systems, including Practical Problem Solving and Risk Assessment.
Qualified as a Safety Investigator and/or Quality Auditor.
Experience in managing teams and decision-making at an operational level.
