Salary Range: $64308 - $119883 Per Year
Job Summary: Serves as a Safety and Occupational Health Specialist (OSHS) for the Technical Operations, Technical Services Organization with overall authority and responsibility for compliance with federal, state and local Environmental and Occupational Safety and Health regulations. Incumbent reports to the Technical Operations, Technical Services Organization, Environmental Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) Support Operations Group (EOSG), ESOG Program Support Center.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: To qualify for this position at the FV-H level you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-G, FG/GS-10/11. Specialized experience for FV-H includes: Experience inspecting safety or occupational health program elements; working with or knowledge of FAA programs such as the Workplace Inspection Tool. Developing and recommending safety and occupational health policy to higher levels of management; designing or modifying workplaces, processes, products, or other systems to control or eliminate hazards. To qualify for this position at the FV-I level you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H, FG/GS-12. Specialized experience for FV-I includes: Specialized experience includes knowledge of Industrial Health principles and regulations, Occupational Safety principles and regulations, and Environmental Compliance laws and regulations. Such experience must include 2 or more of the following: program management of fall protection, electrical safety, confined space entry, hazard communication, indoor air quality, job hazard analysis, asbestos abatement, lead (Pb) abatement, and waste management. Applicants MUST include examples of specialized experience in their work history and be specific when describing specialized experience.
