What is the role?
We are seeking a Safeguarding Officer in our Girls Academy to take a key role in driving a proactive safeguarding culture in the academy and creating a safer environment where children and young people can thrive.
What will you be doing?
You will be an advocate and guardian of the girls' and women's game while promoting the welfare of all players and supporting their safety in all environments (including online). You will play a key role in developing and sustaining a culture of safer working, high performance and respectful behaviour.
Using our safeguarding management platform, CPOMS, you will manage safeguarding cases and monitor the Girls Academy, ensuring you are a visible presence and act as a point of contact for any safeguarding and welfare concerns. You will maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date records of all concerns, ensuring that they are securely retained in accordance with data protection legislation and that relevant risk assessments are in place as required.
You will support the club to proactively develop its approach to safeguarding by partaking in annual safeguarding professional development and using the relevant training to provide the Girls Academy with a credible source of safeguarding and welfare support, advice and guidance. You will support the delivery of key safeguarding awareness campaigns for the Girls Academy and coordinate staff training where required.

You are available to work within the following shift pattern but also have flexibility outside of these hours:
