Job Details:

Shift Hours: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday 6pm - 6am

Starting Pay Range: $25.15 -$31.45/hr plus a $2.00 shift premium

Functions

o To maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture.

o Receive training as required.

o Perform various positions as required/assigned.

o Assist maintenance supervisor with personnel and equipment.

o Assign maintenance techs to equipment during process periods.

o Assist with preventative maintenance and breakdowns.

o Train maintenance techs on equipment

o Utilize computer-based PM program to track equipment maintenance.

o Fill in for absenteeism or assisting in other areas of plant.

Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. Must be willing to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders, fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system, and and any other duties assigned by Management. Must have good verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate with other Team Members, producers, and drivers. Must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be willing to lift 70 lbs. periodically throughout the shift on a daily basis and be willing to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.

Requirements

Must have a minimum of 6months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate and/or student of an industrial maintenance training program (can be combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.

Rehire Rule of no more than  3 times worked at Tyson Foods.
