Job Description: 

The RTR Finance Intern supports the Record‑to‑Report (RTR) team in daily accounting activities, month‑end close tasks, and financial reporting. This role is designed for someone starting their career in finance and eager to learn in a dynamic, international environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Month‑End Close Support

  • Assist the team in preparing basic journal entries under supervision (accruals, prepayments, reclassifications).
  • Help gather and organize information needed for month‑end close.
  • Support variance analysis by collecting data and preparing preliminary comparisons.

2. General Ledger (GL) Support

  • Assist in performing simple reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
  • Help review transactions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain documentation and support audit trails for GL adjustments.

3. Financial Reporting Assistance

  • Support the preparation of standard internal reports by compiling financial data.
  • Help organize schedules and documentation for internal, external, and statutory audits.
  • Assist in maintaining reporting files and templates.

4. Controls & Compliance

  • Follow internal control procedures (including JSOX) when performing assigned tasks.
  • Help maintain proper documentation aligned with corporate policies.
  • Contribute to process improvement discussions by sharing observations and ideas.

5. Fixed Assets and Sub‑Ledger Support

  • Assist in updating fixed asset records and preparing depreciation reports.
  • Support reconciliations related to inventory, cash, or other sub‑ledgers as needed.

6. ERP & Tools

  • Learn and use the ERP system (D365) to support financial processes.
  • Assist with data checks, report extraction, and basic data clean‑up activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (completed or in progress).
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and develop within a finance environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate clearly.
  • Proactive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to take on new tasks.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus but not required.
