The Role

As a Record to Report Accountant, you’ll be a key contributor to accurate and timely financial reporting across our European entities. You’ll own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, and collaborate closely with teams across Accounting, Controlling, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and ERP.

You’ll also have the opportunity to drive process improvements and automation initiatives, making finance operations more efficient and scalable. This is a hands-on, international role perfect for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and making a real impact.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close with accuracy and timeliness

  • Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations (intercompany, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, VAT, payroll, leases)

  • Maintain and monitor intercompany transactions, including loans and cash pooling, with Tax and Treasury teams

  • Post IFRS 16 lease accounting entries and ensure timely payments

  • Support indirect tax accounting (VAT reconciliations, discrepancy investigations)

  • Strengthen controls and audit readiness through improved reconciliation processes and documentation

  • Support accounting activities related to fixed assets, FX revaluations, inventories, and payroll

  • Contribute to automation and efficiency initiatives using SAP, Excel, VBA, Power Query, and other tools

  • Partner with stakeholders across Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, FP&A, ERP, and other teams

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices

  • Previous experience in Record to Report / General Ledger accounting

  • Ability to independently prepare, review, and explain balance sheet reconciliations

  • Comfortable investigating discrepancies and proposing corrective actions

  • Experience working in an international or multinational environment

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Collaborative, communicative, curious, and eager to improve processes through automation

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA or in progress)
