General Summary
The RP 3D Printing Texture Intern will gain valuable “hands on” production experience and training by working in collaboration with our skilled professionals. Interns are supported and challenged as they benefit from renowned stop motion animation expertise. Specifically, the RP 3D Printing Texture Intern will assist with painting surface textures on animated characters, props, and environments for use with a 3D color printer. 

Job Functions 

  • Work from a painted maquette or 2D color line up to develop the look of characters and props by creating complex textures using CG texture tools, to be produced through a 3D color printing palette. 
  • Photograph 3D printed assets to evaluate their color and surface detail and make adjustments to the CG texture maps to achieve the desired look. 
  • Process 3D printed parts and apply surface finishing treatments.  
  • Meet schedules and deadlines as established by production management.  

Qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in college/university, or graduated within the last 12 months, with an emphasis in fine arts, animation, computer graphics, or other relevant areas of study.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop.
  • Traditional painting skills, a plus.
  • Experience with Marik, 3D texture and UV layout and editing, a plus.
  • Experience in CG modeling and lighting, a plus.

On-site in Hillsboro, OR

Salary
$20.00/hour set rate, non-negotiable
