Leadership Acceleration Program (LAP) is an initiative that aims to identify, engage and empower the future leaders of HP. Participants are part of LAP team for a 3-year period, reporting to LAP manager, and they will complete 2 or 3 different challenging job rotations designed with the intent to rapidly expose them to the most important aspects of successful leadership. Upon completion of the program, participants will be accompanied towards a final outplacement position aligned with their career growth.

The initiative is open to anyone in Barcelona Site, and we are looking for candidates that will bring new and different perspectives to the various assignments. The program started three years ago in Large Format and after proving success of first cohort it is now expanding to HP Additive Manufacturing (3D business). This means that while reporting to LAP Manager under Large Format organization, the participants will have the opportunity to take rotational roles in LF and in HP Additive Manufacturing serving as mutual enrichment across businesses.  More information about the program can be found at the LAP landing page.

Job description:

As a participant of the LAP program, you will be reporting to the LAP manager who will be supporting you along this career journey.

  • You will get outcome-based assignments for a period of 1 to 1.5yrs that best fit your skills, and career needs to grow and shine. After which you will work with the LAP manager to get a position in a different team that allows you to keep feeding your skills backpack for the future.
  • In each of the Assignments, you will have an Assignment Manager who will be setting the business objectives and supporting and tracking your day-to-day activities inherent to the role.  
  • You will be fully integrated with the Assignment Team, so that you can succeed in the assignment and act as a one more of the team members. And you will get regular touchpoints with the rest of LAP members which will be of great source of open-minded insights and development support.
  • You will be expected to bring enduring organizational transformation to your various assignments with out of the box perspective and open-minded approach, such as optimization or transformation of the way of working of your Assignment Team or acting as an early adopter of new technology.
  • You will be expected to share your Assignment Outcomes on a regular basis at an executive level.

Job assignments will vary upon candidates and their career journey; as such, detailed responsibilities will vary upon the job assignment and will be discussed with the Assignment Manager along the regular HP quarterly process. Required skills.

Knowledge and experience

  • Typically, 3 to 5 years of work experience
  • Experience in any discipline that translates into a set of skillsets that could be valued on upcoming rotational challenges
