THE JOB:
As a Group Housing Rooms Block Coordinator, you will partner with the internal partners in Housing and Revenue to help set the stage for a successful group guest experience, with your passion for service, strong communication skills and ability to problem solve. By understanding each of our clients' unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW moments and memories they will carry with them far beyond their event with us.

The Group Housing Rooms Block Coordinator works out of our off-site Corporate location and supports our group and convention room blocks for our local Las Vegas properties, ranging from 10-5,000 room nights at peak. The Room Blocks Specialist works very closely with the Housing, Sales and Revenue teams in managing the overall accuracy, balancing, and optimization of the contracted inventory, rates, upsells and reporting for the department.


THE STARTING RATE: $24.00

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Closely monitors, and manages contracted group room blocks, pick-ups, upsell optimization, and inventory adjustments.
  • Manages the group room block and pick up meetings, providing updates for all groups and any historical patterns and circumstances which may either negatively or positively impact room inventory/revenue during block review meetings with Group Housing, Revenue and Sales leadership.
  • Develops and maintains new and improved reporting tools and techniques in our various inventory systems (Passkey, Delphi, and Opera), thus creating efficiencies in the tools, processes, and resources allocated to our room blocks management.
  • Closely monitors hotel inventory availability against contracted group blocks, managing upsell inventory to assist and support in contributing to attrition recovery and room type balancing for pre-arrival needs.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with all departments that support the groups segment within the company, including but not limited to Convention Sales and Services, Revenue and Hotel Operations.
  • Maintains consistent communication with the Housing teams in ensuring the most accurate and up to date information is available for block and pick up decisions, including but not limited to group registration opening dates, historical patterns, upsell opportunities, rooming list utilization pace management and other pertinent details.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment or actively contributes to a work environment that promotes teamwork and mutual respect and values diversity.
  • Supports the Group Housing teams and partners with the Passkey teams in ensuring we run relevant campaigns and support the creation and execution of targeted campaigns through our Passkey system.
  • Performs all of the functions of a Group Housing Specialists at a high level of expertise, supporting business demands as necessary and offering technical guidance/assistance as needed.
  • Monitors any 3rd party group booking channel platforms to ensure accuracy of hotel information and suggest changes as necessary.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
High School Diploma or GED

2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience - Front Desk or Housing experience

Experience with Property Management Systems (i.e. Opera, Amadeus & Passkey)

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Strong communication skills, both oral and written

Strong statistical and analytical skills
