“Launch” into Engineering Graduate (Trainee Field Engineer)

Duration: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week Sunday to Thursday)
Location: Muscat, Oman

Power Systems is the Rolls-Royce business which provides world-class power solutions and complete life-cycle support under our product and solution brand mtu. We deliver and service comprehensive, powerful and reliable systems, based on both gas and diesel engines, as well as electrified hybrid systems. These technologically advanced solutions serve our customers in the marine and infrastructure sectors worldwide. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Travelling with field engineers in Oman to support all types of preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Providing support to the service team by preparing service materials, updating systems and rosters, and assisting with follow-up communications
  • Working with the Dubai office and field engineers to prepare and keep the inventory list up to date. Additionally, coordinate with the team to prepare consumables and distribute them according to requests
  • Visiting customers to update the engine population list and proactively inform them to plan for preventive maintenance
  • Helping with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, organizing service reports, and preparing presentations; optimizing various service process flows; and administering and classifying documents in the network file storage system

Who we’re looking for:

  • Currently enrolled in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering or recently graduated
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Detail-oriented, organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload in a busy environment.
