Job Description:
Robotics Applications Engineer
Location: Mündersbach, Germany
ESAB is a global leader in connected fabrication technology and gas control solutions, with a strong history of innovation and operational excellence. We are now looking for a Robotics Applications Engineer to join our Customer Success & Application Engineering team and support the deployment of our offline robot programming software (OCTOPUZ).
In this role, you will work closely with customers to implement, configure, and optimize robotic solutions. You will also support sales activities, conduct training sessions, and provide technical guidance to ensure customer success.
Your responsibilities:
Install, configure, test, and commission OCTOPUZ software on-site and remotely
Work closely with customers to understand requirements and configure solutions
Create and calibrate digital twins for robotic systems
Program robots using offline tools and teach pendants
Test robotic cells in simulation environments
Provide training, user guidance, and technical support
Support Sales with demos, proof-of-concepts, and technical consulting
Prepare service estimations and support project planning
Document implementations and contribute to internal knowledge sharing
Communicate customer feedback to product and development teams
Your profile:
Passion for robotics and automation technologies
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
Industrial robot systems experience (ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, Yaskawa, Kawasaki, OTC) or strong programming skills (Python, C++, etc.) - candidates with either skill set are welcome; having both is a plus.
Knowledge of CAD/CAM or manufacturing software
Willingness to travel approximately 40%
Valid driver’s license
