Job Description
This non-skilled, entry-level position involves performing various hatchery tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Consistently move racks of product weighing approximately 900 lbs. or greater throughout the day (approx. 48 racks) and boxes throughout the facility. Maintain a clean and safe workspace by operating machinery, counting, reading, scrubbing, soaping, rinsing, disinfecting, mopping, or buffing to meet sanitation requirements. Practice safe and delicate egg and chick handling, promoting proper Animal Welfare Guidelines. Occasionally lift approximately 30 lbs. and perform tasks that require standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching for long periods (up to 10+ hours per shift). Work in a climate ranging from cold to hot temperatures with high humidity and a high concentration of allergens such as chick down and dust. Willing and able to perform physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation. Must not own, possess, or maintain any domestic, wild, or exotic fowl. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
