Roads Engineer, Wellington

We’re looking to build technical resilience into our Wellington roads team and are seeking an experienced civil engineer to bolster technical expertise within the team.

This role sits within a transport team delivering urban road upgrades across wellington and State Highway works across the North island. You will work across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver design at various stages.

What You’ll Do

• Produce geometric designs for urban road upgrades and rural corridor improvements
• Develop design packages from concept through to issued for construction.
• Co-ordinate with utilities, stormwater, structures and traffic engineering disciplines
• Support construction-phase queries and design clarifications
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to the wider team

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years’ experience delivering roading infrastructure projects
• Strong geometric design capability in OpenRoads
• Understanding of NZTA / Waka Kotahi design standards
• Experience working on constrained Urban Corridors
